Spinning with drop spindle
Переглядів 884 роки тому
The video shows how to spin with a drop spindle. Its main focus is to demonstrate, that the twist is not applied to the thread by the fingers but comes from the turning spindle. The fingers only control how much fibers go into the twist. In the last part of the video one can see how two threads are twisted together to make a yarn that does not curl anymore.

Artikulation Animation (Ligeti)

Animation of "Articulation" (György Ligeti 1958) on film base, made by a group of students (including me) at the Department of Arts, University of Siegen, Germany, in 1982. The fading VHS video tape made from the film added some patina over the years.
Incredibly fascinating work, please share more content like this! PENELOPE is so interesting and a great example of experimental archaeology. Both demonstrations of weaving and research presentations like this with visual examples are much appreciated.
My heart just stopped at seeing the sheer beauty of it. Thank you so much for posting this.
This is outstanding! Thank you so much.
Espectacular tu trabajo. ¡Cómo me gustaría hacer algo similar! Felicitaciones. 🥀

Soo cool! Thank you.
This is the pattern to include the type of loom used to make the Shroud of Turin. The Herringbone weave on a weighted loom tutorial video I have been looking for. And for a number of years now, Thank you for posting this.
This is fantastic! I knew you could start a warp weighted loom with a strip of tablet weaving, but is absolute genius to incorporate it as and edge too.
Wonderfull! this helped me a lot
This is genius
