As the thumbnail suggests this one almost broke me. I developed pain in the joint of my shoulder after practising my main drum fill for this cover time and time again. I was only able to to rehearse 2-3 full takes per day before and after taking some time off to recover and when it was time to set up all my equipment to record I encountered issue after issue with all the software and hardware I was using. Even my kit decide to have a new issues such as my hi-hat freely spinning which is a first time this has happened after years of playing on this hybrid kit.
I had to stop and take a break and have a serious think if I could even play this to a standard I'm happy with. While profusely sweating not having a working AC, shoulder now aching along with my muscles and fatigue setting in... I finally managed to get a good enough take on my last and final effort. You can see my first time frustration with how I'm playing in the beginning and of course throwing my sticks into the abyss at the end as a sign of relief. I loved covering this song and I'll be doing more covers of Femtanyl in the future.
