At the first sign of the end of winter here in Iceland, we went out to take some photographs and explore nature. All photographs are taken with the Fuji X100V. I took my Leica M6 with a 35mm Summicron lends and a roll of expired Kodak Ultra Color 800 and headed to the remotest part of the Westfjords of Iceland. My friend Ívar and I headed out to one of the remote fjords in the Westfjords of Iceland. The fjord is called Arnarfjörður and we went to visit some of the homes of the former residents of the area. Hello David! This is really a great video and some decent pictures! I personally own a Leica R8 and I can totally relate the joy of taking pictures with this camera. I just happen to be curious about the story about Kirstie you mentioned at 1:04, I tried to do some research on that but I couldn’t find anything about Kirstie, his brother in law and anything related to Bildudalur. Would you mind sharing what mode did you use in your r8 to shoot these pictures? Also, how much digital editing did you do after scans? Excellent pictures… thank you.
Hi! I chose the R8 because I like the camera + it has a high shutter speed so you can shoot wide open in bright daylight. I didn't really do any editing. I got these back from the labv like they are. Maybe played with contrast a little bit.
@@DavidVilmundarson Thank you for the quick reply. I just bought an R8 myself and I was wondering about the P mode. It sounds like you might had shot in Manual or aperture priority mode in these pictures, is that right?

It's a lovely place, really.... It's the place I can only dream to come... The video and the pictures are very good. The only question I have is about Fuji Pro 400H. I see, this film gives noticeable colour shift, when shooting landscape, but it's for everybody's taste...

nice photographs. Your colors look great. I have found that my 1970 SWC produces washed out faded looking color images.
