So is food going up to pay for new building?

I was at the epicentre of the Scenic Rim tornado and had no power for two weeks, a tree fell on my house, no transport, my phone line came down, all the food in my fridge rotted, no transport and not even enough money for a sim card. I was desperate. I tried to get a free food trolley from Lighthouse as I am in their delivery area (was and am a customer) but was told I would need to drive 35 mins to Logan to pick it up and that if they delivered a free trolley to me they would be expected to do it for everyone. It was so very disappointing to learn that the more "advantaged" people with transport were being favoured for free trollies over the less advantaged housebound people. I had been living on weetbix and powdered milk for three days so I waited another four days for my disaster relief money to come through and have just paid for a Lighthouse order, with delivery....I am a big fan of Lighthouse Care. I just wish they were willing to home deliver free trollies to the needy in areas where they are delivering anyway

Lighthouse does an amazing job at helping the community in a way that the person needing help still feels worth while and has dignity they are simply put families helping families ❤ 🥰 Blessings Gerowyn
