    Simon!!!! So great to see you. How do you like Atlanta? I used to live there & from GA. One of my best friends lives there & I'll visit her one of these days. It'd be great to meet you in person. Enjoyed hearing how you've experienced your transition. Thanks for the update, brother. I'm both happy for you and a little envious of that mighty fine beard!

    Simon. You look amazing!! You also give me alot of hope..My partner and I will be moving to fla, we just don't know where yet. We know a women who sells houses around the Gulf Coast, she just sold a three story condo on the ocean for $90,000.00, tht's cheap!! We're just gona get in the RV and look around to see where we wana rest our heads..Btw you seem so much more comfortable and relaxed in ur vid's. Do u have any suggestions for fla?

    The voice makes a huge difference. I have really bad disphyoria when it comes to my voice. I've never liked my voice. I just realized tht ur 8 mnth's is the day I started T, how ironic is tht..When did your beard start growing in? I've always had hair at the corner's of my mouth and peach fuzz where my beard would be. Hopefully I'll have a full beard at 6 to eight month's.

    Hey Simon. How many milligrams of T did your Doc start u off with? Do u suggest waiting 6 mnth's b4 having top surgery?

    • @simonsmyname
      @simonsmyname 8 років тому

      +Sandy Ciaraldi I'm not keen on sharing the T dose because it is really a medical decision and I leave it up to my doctor. I hope that doesn't come off like a jerk - I just worry that putting some number out there wouldn't really be useful because we are all different - sizes, weights, ages, etc. Prepare for another vague answer...I had surgery at exactly the right time for me. I was comfortable in my transition in the sense that I'd made complete peace with the decision to move forward regardless of outside consequences. As incredibly frustrating as it is, so many of these things are on different timelines -for different people - and not even on some folks timelines - so it is tough to compare. Waiting was so hard, but I'll say that not even a year in I am no longer constantly looking for changes. Stick with it and enjoy that you are getting to grow into yourself!!

    How many month's did you wait while being on T? I want to wait 6 mnth's, but I have no patience at all during this transition. I thk it's because I waited to long and im in a rush hour to get it all done. Congrat's on ur surgery!! Will you be showing updates after a mth, etc..Thx for sharing, Simon!

    Hi Simon. Still watching..I just turned 44 a mnth ago. I just started my transition on March 22nd and 2moro will be 1 mnth for me, but the front desk messed up so my T date is going to be changed to Wednesday's. In Boston they measure your dose in milligrams, so im on 50 milli which is 0.25 every wk, tht's wht my Dr started my at and needless to say im not very happy. Wht did your Dr start you off at and did he keep you on the same T level for 3 mths? I haven't had any symptoms except im a lil more frisky in the am. I thought your vid was so funny. I couldn't stop laughing about the coach. lol. My fb is Sandy Ciaraldi(Logan) and my IG is A_GOODFELLA_LGBTQ(Logan) Wht social media do you belong to? Also you gave me a great idea about my middle name.

    • @simonsmyname
      @simonsmyname 8 років тому

      +Sandy Ciaraldi Man, it is really tough at the beginning to see the changes...they are gradual, but they seem to kind of come in waves. I definitely noticed the friskiness initially and really that was mostly it for a while it seemed. Hang in there and be sure to take photos - whether you post them or not - to help you see the changes. Everyone is different and UA-cam really helped me see that play out for folks. Try to be patient (it is so hard) and enjoy growing into yourself.

      Things are looking up. Should post a video soon to update. Took my wife to the Dr. this morning and she is cleared of restrictions! She's a super healer and will be driving herself to work next week. I got a teaching job this summer and plenty of time to work in the studio. Things are picking up, brother. Thanks.

    Thank you for posting your updates Simon. It has been a pleasure to witness your transition. Looking back at your first recorded vid, which talked about your impending "coming out" to people, to these later ones, you are clearly more comfortable now. Having just done the "coming out: thing to my parents and siblings, I totally get the nervousness. I told my parents in person, but because there was no good way to get my sisters, their husbands, and my brother in the same place at the same time, I told them by text message. It's nerve wracking telling people. how do you start the conversation? I keep thinking that I should record vlogs of my own transition, especially as I could be less than one month from hormones. We'll see how that goes. :) But thank you again for your updates, I'm very happy for you, and hope that one day we can meet, with both of us as our true selves. Love ya cousin, Samantha.

    I was kinda wondering about that. If my wife started to transition to male, it would be very difficult to say the very least. But as Kendra said if you're a boy then you've always been a boy and she still fell in love you. I guess that also means I had crush on a boy in high school, but this isn't about me. Again thanks for video journaling your journey. It's on thing to see people you don't know on tv,But when it's someone you know, love and care about it is so much more real. I also hope for your sake that the snoring is not part of the transition. I am often banished to the couch. And sorry if I am blabbing too much.

    • @simonsmyname
      @simonsmyname 9 років тому

      +Steve Clark Ha! I'm so glad you are enjoying the videos. It feels a lot like I'm blabbing on in the videos, so it's nice to hear that you are enjoying them. I love that you considered how you would feel if your wife transitioned. Crazy, right?

    Hey LJ, I can't figure out how to reply to your comment directly. I definitely am not experiencing the roid rage response. I'd say I was more likely to blow up pre-transition since I would let everything build up until I couldn't take it anymore. On this side of the transition I am a little more irritable, but I'm dealing with my emotions as they come instead of stuffing them down until they burst.

  • @ljmotorcyclegrl
    @ljmotorcyclegrl 9 років тому

    The low grade testosterone irritability you're talking about Is definitely relatable lol. It's good that you brought it up as the only thing I've seen on UA-cam are the "'roid rage" type comparison experiences. There's a big difference between rage and irritability.

  • @kendralee4218
    @kendralee4218 9 років тому

    Irritability = "THE BABY IS TOUCHING ME!" But the low-grade irritability is a small price to pay to watch you parent and engage with life the way you were always meant to. <3
