I'm watching this years after you made this video and from the jokes your husband was making about how many views you'd get on a good day to how many they have now as I'm looking and the fact that this was the first video to pop up when I looked up Everdell playthrough. I'm really happy for you. I got this game for christmas and was struggling to understand the mechanics and this video was helpful.

My husband and I read the Red Rising series in 2024, got the game for Christmas and have been hooked (neither of us have played many table top games) came here looking for suggestions of other games we might enjoy together! I love that the set up and amount of pieces arent overwhelming,, but love the board game components. The THEME and art are great (I love fantasy, sci-fi, and mideval) , and theres great competitive strategy and some combos. I often find that I wished the games lasted linger which I have NEVER felt before. Any recommendations?

The Bonus and Challenge segment is incorrect. They are placed FACE UP on those piles so players can work toward them. It's not blind luck.

You used your starting friend but didnt move and got another friend. You cant do that and must leave the starting location. Great play otherwise 🎉

Good overview. After playing it Inwould agree with a lot of your points. I wish the worker placement side of things was more streamlined and tighter. Less public spots making your castle upgrades more critical to win. I didnt love that you had to use a worker to activate an attack on the opponent's castle. Felt like that shouldve been automatic after the worker placement phase. Overall ot was ok. I hope the rumored expansion gives it more direction and streamlines it.

When you finished before lunch, the Tomekeeper only took 3 moves to reach location 3, he should have continued moving for his last move back towards the center space.

Curious if there was an editing pass missed for the video. There are some pauses that seem ripe for cuts.

If your playing with just 2 people, should you cut the deck down? My hubs and I played for the first time and we both ended up with hands that were almost impossible to play. So just wondering if there's like a have 10 of these and etc. Type of deck set up that would make it better to learn on?

At the beginning, if build card is at 3, you can only build up to a size 3 enclosure. Also, you do not start with an x token. I’m not sure if this is corrected later. All the ark nova videos I’ve seen have some mistakes, but everyone was still learning.
