Brother those stand-offs on the top of your fireplace is your minimum clearance to combustible materials. You can’t just put a 2x4 flush to the top of the unit like you did
You’re correct. That board is definitely going to get cooked.
Nicely done! We´re about to install a new GE Profile Performance double wall convection oven to replace our old model that has gone bad. We already replaced the control panel a few years ago, but they are no longer available. I´ve read the installation manual, but it helps to see it being done. I also saw another installation video where the professional installers did not pre-twist the power wires before using the wire nuts. As long as it ends up tight I think it´s fine either way.
Hey nice video! Question for you though. How many and where were the screws that held the old unit (looked like a whirlpool) in the cabinet?
Great job, I yet saw your video and it seen so easy the way he explained and installed… thanks so much, I did subscribed to your channel… 🙏🏻
Nice job!
Thanks!
Looks great! Also planing to update combo in my house. One note here, I think your spouse was correct on twisting wires before getting wire nut on. This ensures better connection.
Well... I'm guessing your local code must be extremely different from central Florida.
How do you like this oven? Reviews are mixed and I cannot find any videos of it in action. Is the fan loud?
We love this oven wall unit. I haven't noticed it being too loud. It has been a wonderful addition to our kitchen!
My 3 year old niece was watching this with me for a while asking all kinds of questions. 😁
A+ on linoleum removal efforts. Been there, done that... new over the top of old next time I encounter that situation. 😮
Should have just tiled over it. Its not like its going anywhere.
All I kept thinking was nothing is ever easy. It's kind of my mantra whenever I attempt any kind of project. There's always some kind of glitch. But y'all handled it beautifully and you did a great job painting, Terri. I love the colors you chose. Can't wait to see the finished product!
Caulk will HIDE all things, but doesn't always do a good job of THAT.
Looks SOOOOO much better. Good job. I'm about to do the same, your video helped me alot
Glad we could help! Good luck with your own project!
Looks great
Thank you! We really love it!!
Like the music 🎶
Haha...I hope you can look back and laugh about it now.
Great job! It looks great! Thanks for the video.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Was that a 40 amp circuit or 50?
It's a double pole 40 amp circuit (80 total)
@@resolutehomestead3334 40 total! You don't double it unless it was two different circuits. Btw, there is a debate whether you pretwist your wires before capping; so your wife may be right.
@anonymousperson4363 Agreed. Pre-twist prevents any strands from straying, creating a solid connection. But , as you mentioned it's debatable.
for the cut dimensions it s a conversion from the metric system for sure
Great start! Looks like it will be an amazing improvement.
That came out nicely! Can't wait to see it with the stairs done.
What was the weeks prior? Did yall strip it first? Final looks great!!
Thank you! We did strip and sand before being able to get this final product. You can watch the progression in our 3 videos in the playlist entitled Resolute Reno Stairs and Railings. -Terri
That's right, sell the house.
How did you sand down the railings?
Sorry this took so long to get back to you! Initially I didn't sand down the railings, which was a mistake. I thought that 3 applications of the polyurethane stripper would be sufficient, but the result was not great in some areas. I ended up going back and sanding everything using a multi-tool with a sanding attachment that let me get in between all the balusters. That process is shown in the new video we put up last week if you want to see what I did. - Jonah
Thanks Jonah and Terri. Starting to look like a tiled floor.
Good effort, better job than some tilers I know. :)
Thanks! I appreciate that!
