" ive been working on the railroad all the live long day,,,,"
G'day Mate!! Kind regards from Bs As, Argentina... What a railway yours, Dylan!! May I know the gauge?? All the best Aussie, here Rodolfo, a former railway worker, great video!!
The Gauge is 7 1/4 and 5 inch
A couple of years ago we came down from Perth for the day to ride the trains at Forrest Park with the kids. Great day not over priced, highly recommend.
Good job Dylan
Great video mate. Have you got anymore footage from the same day? I was also filming W945 on the 15th of September. It was a lovely day for steam train chasing.
Unfortunately no
@@dylanaudrain No problem at all.
Good Job Dylan
were is stream power
Excellent!
at several times, eg around 15 minutes in, it sounds like the cylinder anti-condensation valve is stuck open on one side.
Nicely done, I think I spotted myself in a few of your shots which I do apologise for. I particularly liked seeing the C class going for a run down the line, too bad I missed that.
Me in the cab of the XA at the end haha.
Fantastic video, thank you very much for sharing. A big congratulations must go to the Hotham Valley Railway for reaching this milestone.
Blasphemous though it may be, I'd honestly love to see an engine like this visit the Cumbres and Toltec or Durango and Silverton. Not sure if this is 3 foot gauge or not though. Still an absolute gem of a locomotive, absolutely a beauty!
3 foot 6 inch.
@@johnmorgan4313 ... well damn okay, nevermind

Great video Dylan i am a member at Bennett Brook railway when will NG15 123 Fremantle be coming back to service and will they run it with the winter set The Party Coach, The 2 AQ Coaches, The Dancefloor and The AQB on the Ashley day and which way will they run it on the Loop and will Planet 7 and the Fowler Rosalie be top n tailing the Mussel Pool Branchline with the 2 RP Coaches, the R Wagon and the Z Van. Great Video Mate!
Thx have come give trainspotting a go mate
@@dylanaudrain Will soon!
i had some spare time about a week ago when i was over that way and stopped in near where you were. omg its changed since i was last there about 6 months ago. the sidings where the unloved locos were stored have gone. the office building has gone. in fact, everything has gone and a new building is being put there. and the rail yard was throbbing with activity. trains coming and going in both directions. and the x was going back and forth. and the poor old english electric loco up against a buffer.
Yea a lot has changed especially with new airport line with train station behind the rail yard you can look out of windows and see the whole entire Forrestfield yard
@@dylanaudrain , can you get and have a look from the new station?
Not yet as it’s closed to public until 2022
that first spot is an excellent spot. i cant place the second spot. is that about 100m closer to the kewdale yard?
No they all in same spot I just moved other side road
Nice V Class :) I volunteer at Don River Railway, Devonport ... started driver training on V2 today. Thanks for this great video :)
ive got some questions. its a garrett. any particular garrett it was modelled after? i couldnt see any articulation though it probably wouldnt need it. is it articulated? i didnt see any draughting in the firebox when the door was open. does it have draughting like full sized locos? is the regulator the tap on the left? do you use collie coal or do you get some good stuff from nsw? ive noticed the good weather protection for patrons at the station near the kent st weir. how come the local stations on the perth public system have a big fail for weather protection?
We use shitty collie coal and the drafting is done by the blower but Is also done by the exhaust
@@dylanaudrain , collie coal? do you keep it under water? one day when i had nothing to do i came upon the 'coal dam' (if that's what its called) out midland way. it seems that collie coal spontaneously combusts.
We leave the coal in the sample bags they come in usually have some water in them but they sweat a lot but wen left in coal wagon we do wet them occasionally
@@dylanaudrain , have you visited the coal dam out at midland? fascinating for train nerds. i suggest you do if only to confirm you are not taking risks with how you store your coal. it is likely that only big stores are a fire hazard. china has a problem with spontaneous coal fires. it has a lot of low quality deposits and requires that they remain well covered. the problem happens when people steal coal for their home use then spontaneous combustion happens and it takes a lot of effort to put them out.
The midland coal dam has no longer got any coal from what people have been told and yes can store coal in water but not suitable for miniature trains but full size yes
interesting. i cant recall anyone else filming from there. have you thought of a short video of the locos sitting in death row which isnt far from where this was filmed, next to some offices.
I can do but not many locos there
@@dylanaudrain, i havent been there for a look myself lately. there were some d class's there and they were being disposed of so that would explain not many being there.
Incredibly what long trains. Do you know if the containers are attached at the top? Nice greetings from Germany. wheely04
Yes all containers on top are attached
Nice brother
Thx Man I try my best
@@dylanaudrain ahaha your getting better thats for sure!! cant wait to watch the next one aha
