Clinical Trials Musings
Join us to explore the world of diabetes clinical trial research and what it means for daily living for people with diabetes and the overall healthcare system at our upcoming event. We will delve into the opportunities and challenges of designing and conducting clinical trials and also emphasize the importance of having diverse people within these trials. The discussions cover advancements in cell replacement therapy for type 1 diabetes (T1D) and innovative approaches to addressing diabetes-related eye diseases, such as diabetic macular edema and other complications.
We bring together healthcare providers and researchers in the field, Musings offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into the latest breakthroughs that aim to transform diabetes care. The panel will also discuss the real-life scenarios of people with diabetes wanting to join a clinical trial when facing various challenges. The diabetes therapies and technology that are available today wouldn't be in existence without the clinical trial design and people participating in them “yesterday”.
Whether you're a person with diabetes, caregiver, healthcare professional, or simply eager to expand your knowledge, this video provides actionable insights for participating in clinical trials and improving your well-being.

This is really good and important to know. Am now getting more out of my CGM. Many thanks
Thanks
I mean... it doesn't look like pudding. It looks like slop. I'm willing to try it but it would have been nice to see it properly... guess I'm 6 years late to critique, though.
How to apply these reports to pre diabetes? Thanks for this video.
The normal average person doesn't hasn't even heard of Chia seeds. Need recipes that the average household can actually afford to buy! Bye
I have been doing much the same now for a while I have 2 tablespoons of chia seeds soaked in unsweetened coconut milk 1 teaspoon of Ceylon Cinnamon 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt and some fruit usually stewed peaches I make myself with no sugar
Not terribly interesting or insightful.
Thank you for sharing
i thought you had it let it stand for 5 hours as told by one youtube info.
😜 P R O M O S M
for anyone - only consume 2 tablespoons of chia seeds in one day or less... too much Is bad.
I absolutely LOVE an overnight chia pudding..! I use chia, almond milk, some frozen summer or autumn berries, unsweetened plantmilk yoghurt (all layered) and either coconut for 'tropical' or a dusting of cocao powder or nibs for a 'black forest gateau' flavour! make overnight and pop in my work bag in the morning.
theres no vapor to exhale?
How much water If I put more water it doesn’t become gel
Do you drink the gel or add water then drink it
I use cream in my chia
Thanks, this is the most informative info I've found on using a CGM.
Nicer with almond milk 🙂
A close up of what it looks like would've been helpful.
Chia, huh? I'm doin' it!
You look very young to be having diabetes
If it's Type 1 it's diagnosed in childhood
Chia seeds is a total game changer!
How many net carbs in that plrase ?
"Most" docs will not give you responsible medical advice regarding diabetes. Ask me how I know.
I have been a T1D patient since my childhood. Struggled to find a quick, effective breakfast recipe. Your recipe is outstanding. Can you give us a recipe regarding lunch and dinner? Thanks in advance.

As 57 years man with T2D since 1996 , CGM helped me (still helping) to manage my Glucose with modifying my food (what , when and how much ) and my activities (what , when and what type) . I am off of 5 meds and two insulins just by following the AGP data. I am willing to share with you if it can help others.
Please share with us. It will help me and others. Thank you.
Such a good conversation
thanks much for writing & recording this!
Amazing read 😊
Hi n G Morning hw do I get this book?
I'm scared to try it lol
What's the texture like?
We didn't get to see that
Thank you so much!
Big foot I've been waiting for your insulin pump where is it dexcom your cgm is off by 50 points up or down your app for Android phone doesn't work And why doesn't any one talk about meditronics cgm or pump or there advances
Thank you for the terrific and insightful discussion on time in range, CGM, and connected pens!
Excellent case study for Sam and Lucy that demonstrates the utility of CGM (and analyzing the data)! What does it mean to "tighten the carb ratio' (from the second case)? Does it mean have fewer carbs? Oh, also, I understand what flat and in range mean, but what does narrow mean? Thanks!
Tightening the carb ratio means to more accurately match the insulin to the amount of carbs that are being eaten. Narrowing happens indirectly. When, over a period of several weeks, the day-to- day pattern becomes more similar and the glucose level at a particular time of day is closer to the average, then the high level to low level difference at that time of day becomes smaller and the 50% and 90% curves narrow.
You need presentations on people with type 2 diabetes.
Please don't do this. Chia seeds need to soak up liquid and can expand up to 10x their size and like 20x+ in weight, so doing this can wreck your digestive system. If you can, soak them overnight. Once they've fully absorbed all the liquid they can hold, they're safe to eat.
Only vid i watched where seeds were eaten immediately
I always soak chia seeds overnight too.
I never believed Herbs could be so effective to eradicate my type 2 diabetes until I Came across Dr Ogoh on youTube, afters 2 months of taking the Medication which I Ordered for. I got cured completely. With the love, care and Treatment from you Doctor, I Really Appreciate you doctor.🥰
Don't the nuts have carbs that trigger the blood glucose? Especially concerned about the p.b, cashews and sunflower seeds.
Nice video, I love my FreeStyle Libre 14days and Blucon cgm together, both helps me to manage my blood glucose. My Blucon give me alarms on my and my partner’s phone when I’m high or low so that’s nice.
Yes. Thanks for Perfect Tips to Request Doctors for Future Check Ups!
I love Chia seeds but as a crunch. Can't do it as a pudding. Texture is gross.
Thank you very much, your email please, I wonder if PDF for your presentation is available
Could someone explain to me why type 1 diabetics are not using low carb diets as a tool to manage their blood sugar and more importantly why the medical community isn’t advocating for this? A diet high in protein and fat creates a long flat glucose response in type 2 diabetics so why wouldnt it allow type 1 diabetics to achieve the same goal and require far less insulin use?
Because T1D doesn't have to be about restrictions. You can achieve an over 90% time in range eating normal. But you have to take count of other stuff. They say here that 75% TIR is great... It can easily be much greater.
It would. Plus your TIR would be 100% and your GV could be as low as ~10%.
@@doubledutch3439 its obvious the whole medical and scientific community cant see the forest for the trees. They only see the money
I will try it. Im not a picky eater so im sure ill be ok with it. My blood sugars are high in morning trying to find way to keep it low
Water! Live a little and replace with whole milk. Also let that chia sit for longer than a minute, that's nasty
Great information! Thanks
