how the self-confidence of most men have been affected due to the lack of money is sad. money is important, but it doesn't mean anyone should feel unworthy because of it. That is a very sad and elitist mindset propagated by women. The saddest part is, women would reject a "good man without money" and would rather be with either a "broke asshole" or a "rich asshole" . Forgetting that morality is the highest form of wealth and both two options are that bad. If society treated women who couldn't give birth with the same stigma they treat men who are broke, would it be a good society? I wish I could slap some sense into men. Your mom is an adult and it's her responsibility to take care of herself and she's using you so that she doesn't have to take care of herself. You're allowing her to control you and ruin your life. I don’t think people need to wait to have kids if they have childhood trauma. They just need to learn coping techniques so they don’t pass that on to their own kids. sometimes that trauma lives with you your entire life. it can be a life long journey managing it…that doesn’t mean you can’t have kids. And 100% yes to her cutting her mom out of her life. I did that with my dad and it was a really good decision. I blocked his number and haven’t looked back. you might feel guilty but your mental well being is more important.

Sometimes we tend to assume when we should not. During the talking stage, ask questions; plenty questions and don’t assume. Assumptions have kept people in more than 1year “relationships” when the other party has no knowledge of it.

My opinion: it is my responsibility to protect and provide for my wife. This can be financial, laying down my life during attacks, guiding and driving the family to achieve our set goals. It is my wife’s responsibility to support me which can be emotional, domestic etc. Once you do anything that takes your time and attention from the family, the results is meant to benefit the family. Otherwise there’s no need to do it.

Nice discussion. Personally, the only reasons or situations that will make me date a single mother is if her baby father is no more, if I’m also a single father or if her child is adopted and not her biological child. Aside that, it’s my passion to start my own family, marry before reproducing and be responsible for every child I bring forth.
