There are a few different designs but ours opens from the nose like a clamshell

Yes there are rules on conduct. Slow teams to keep left, although preference is for slower teams to hold their line.

I'd prefer it if slow teams just stayed at least a trike width from the edge of the track at all times, that way you'd always be able to go outside or inside them.

That's right, multiple batteries and multiple cameras. If you check back on our channel we'll have nearly the whole 7 hours uploaded 😅

This is probably our favourite camera mount position but a change in fairing and cameras means they don't fit like this for now :(

Hey do you like it? We had been using Garmin Virb, we worked around the map sync issues but it was getting more and more problematic, we're testing out 'telemetry overlay'

Here in Australia they're pretty limited to closed circuits and velodromes, maybe they're not illegal on public roads but it's not safe (or enjoyable) in traffic. They're efficient though imagine city commute on safe, dedicated paths. Sometimes you see unfaired recumbent trikes. And they're similar to European velomobiles which seem to be used on roads? Maybe not busy traffic though?

@@UnhingedHPV you have to have a fluorescent flag on the end to be seen on roads/footpaths

Thanks! Yes we used Virb for a while but it was getting a lot less reliable, map issue on sync could be worked around but then we had data field issues too. So we splashed out and trialling "Telemetry Overlay" so far so good, not heaps of customisation but it seems to be actively supported and updated?

That's right, this one was an 8 hour race so no need to sprint off at the start too hard

I had a 2 hour stint, I couldn't afford to spend any bickies in the first 30 minutes. It was initially quite demoralising, then rewarding as everyone else started to cook.

Not planetary gearing, it's all pretty much standard road bike hardware, with some modifications like our front chainring is 80T - but our drive wheel is 16 inch

It keeps us busy!

They were just making sure everyones reflexes are sharp maybe 😅

This race was an 8 hour, but they range from 6-24 hours in this local series

No need to apologise! Our rider (only just) managed to come to a stop without touching anyone. But said it was intense. Hoping any touch ups are minor for you guys.
