your NEXT DISCOUNT REEL from AMAZON under 50$!!! REEL Review trout beat down
nice.video.congratulations and nice channel. I am writing from Italy and I fish for stock trout thoroughly. I don't use the swivel. I insert the lead, lengthened and not egg-shaped, of 3 - 4 g, to avoid snags and be lighter and more imperceptible when the trout bites, especially the large ones that I am looking for. then I insert 2 sliding silicone stoppers and finally a circle hook, usually number 6. all directly on the main line of the reel. obviously Powerbait bait. I fish immediately below the shore, and the lakes I frequent the water is very transparent in the autumn and winter periods, so I always cast immediately below the shore and fish as soon as the powerbait disappears from my sight. fun guaranteed!
You can drive down HWY 1 all the way to Morro Bay trying to find little honey holes, just have to really follow the guidelines or a game warden (merciless people) will fine the lice off you. Some places i swear you can smell the lings and cabbies but you gotta be real careful and have a friend or two in case your rope gives way. Its difficult to get to sometimes but man does it payoff with some monster fish. Man, i so miss it but i'm old now and its a young mans game climbing down them cliffs. Out with old and in with new!!!
Bzzzzzullshit
What kind of rod holders are those
these are normal bazooka tubes that fit into the scotty downrigger mounts the rest are attached to the rails of the boat via allen head clamps
Good job brotha they are still there ,we had hard times getting bait on Saturday 15 anchovies for 3 people not enough ,hopefully sat we can fine it and do better you guys did good 👍🏼
thankyou raul! yes its still on for shure!! got lucky finding bait hopefully there still chovies around!!
what happened to your floor?Your boat isn't very old??
Dude!!! A small cut in the vinyl opend up and our dog took a big ass bite out of it last trip!! Now we need to pull up the whole panel and re vinyl the subfloor lol
Yo was that Jim borelli
What’s up man we met at lake ralphine when they stocked it with trout and you were fishing with your son. I’m getting into shore fishing for lingcod and was wondering if you can give me some pointers on rigs and locations. I’m a Santa Rosa local thanks man
Hell yea rock fishing is the best!!! Be prepared to lose a lot of terminal tackle snags are insane out there….def fish on the good days small swells low wind is best You’ll find more clean and clear water the further up hwy 1 you drive but I find a lot of my success from my videos between Jenner and salt point….watch for private property up there as a lot of shoreline is protected by epa laws too I always start with a drop shot rig 1oz-3oz led and shrimp from Safeway to catch rockfish Dark colored 3-6 inch swimbaits will work good for kings and cabs A good rod for sensitive feel is a okuma celio 9ft medium heavy and a 3-4000 size reel with 40lb braid to a 20lb mono leader
Sweet
thankyou bro! me and jay watch all your vids too man yall be killin em!
@@NorCalFishermen thanks brother
Always a blast to fish in tomales on the same days as you guys, sorry about the big fish and then your truck brakes locking up eas a bummer, all and all you guys still left with fish and a good attitude. Keep on catching in nor cal...
Appreciate it Luis! We were juiced to meet you guys and make new friends!!! No matter how tough it is if we are fishing it’s still a blast!!! See you guys again soon hopefully!!!
Hang in there! Hope everything will be fixed soon. Great video. Keep it up! 👍👍👍
Thank you JU!!!! fish on!!
W vid GG TRUCK
Good job on your catch brotha ,it’s always cool to see y’all out there every time I’m cooking you guys are no we’re to be found lol
haha i know we are always bouncing around trying to find fish! thankyou bro love to see you guys aswell and love watching you take people along and put them on!
Did you guys fish today? I’ll be fishing tomorrow Sunday
My bro was out there I’m on call for work this week but he skunked! And couldn’t find bait eaither he did talk to some guys who fished the bar and did better we will be out next weekend forsure
@@NorCalFishermen terry limited out today but he lost his key on boat and had to be tow in
Yea! That’s what Jeremy said! That’s horrible at least he got a ride back Tho and some fish!
@@NorCalFishermen I drove to his house from Vacaville to Santa Rosa and tried my keys from my evenrudes on my big boat and one of them worked so he will be out there tomorrow with us
Dang that’s nice of you man! Well good luck guys! Will be sure to tune into the video!! Glad to see the bay still producing!
Awesome!
Thanks dude! We watch your vids too!
I like your bait tank set up. Can you give some details on the tank model/lid. Can't tell if that is a bucket with a lid sourced somewhere else or one complete tank/lid unit. Any details? Hope to see you out on the water at TB sometime.
Thankyou dude! My brother capt Jay bought the bucket at either sportsman Wherehouse or West marine and it came with the lid…then he bought a smaller sump pump rigged it to the bottom of the transom and stuck the inlet house in the bucket top….and we restricted the flow so our outtake house would keep up with the pump when we put power to it…this vid was the first time we had constant flow and it worked fantastic the bucket is 10gallons I believe Works for us we have even gotten 2 scoops of bait from j&p out in the bay and fished all day with lively baits! Yea man we are prob done at Tomales for for the season we will be targeting trout and salmon at lake Berryessa and lake Amador aswell as the striper on Napa Petaluma rivers Hope to run into ya man! Wave us down we love meeting new local anglers!
Hey guys, kudos on that 33 inch halibut, I'm also glad I met u out there, it was a tough day but the best part of the day is meeting new anglers like you, next time you have to join us for a good lunch on the water, ,let's go, nor cal fishermen, it's all good fishing baby 😂😂😂
Hell yea right on Luis!! I’m down to eat next time for sure!!! Cool meeting yall aswell man!!
Good job!!
Thankyou bill!!
It was nice meeting you guys just subscribed to your channel thank you for the shot out anytime you guys want to go out to hook up thank you brotha
Thankyou man!! We will hit you up forsure!!
I've used the 300 for a few years now in the salt and fresh...no issues since I've owned it ... I do rinse it in warm mild dish soap and a fresh rinse as well.. after each use in the salt or fresh.. which is what you should do on a regularly.. whether your gear is cheap or high-end,... take care of it.. Whatever species you decide to target,.. its a budget reel and for the price point,.. its a great value! you can't go wrong ..👍😎🤙
stands the test of time fore sure still my daily halibut reel thanks for comment dude!
@@NorCalFishermen I do own high-end reels but as I said,.. you can't go wrong with Picifun reels .... their fly reels are quite nice as well ... also great price points 🤙😎👍
i bought one and it didnt make the noise what do i hav me to do to make it do the noise
All I did was use 6-8lb Fluorcarbon and it made that noise so I’m not sure if mine was a defect or what
If you make a video on new locations but don't mention them....🤔
Yea I get the frustration…but exploration is half the fun of fishing…plus why blast a local spot to a couple hundred more people that might poach fish or leave a bunch of garbage If your subbed you’ll notice most my vids I share my location and the vids I don’t it’s up to you as a angler to put the puzzle together
do you still think this reel is good? did you do any mods to it?
yes for a basic bait caster or beginner or just extra bait caster this reel is a steal for the price and should last long enough if taken care of i didnt do anything to it
Nice bass!
Thanks!
What happened to your engine?
went to start the motor and lost all power to our console radio etc..had to bail on the trip used the kicker motor to get home
@@NorCalFishermen probably a fuse or circuit breaker or maybe even a loose or corroded battery cable. No worries gonna be something simple!
@samperez4984 yes once we got home and jiggled the harness the motor fired right up lol so we have been chasing and re wiring stuff in hope to get a video out of Tomales bay this weekend
The drag burns out fast on a 80lb ray…. Best fight ever
Sum mighty tasty eating there. Flounder is up there on my list. Of good eating Saltwater fish. Up there with red and black drum grouper. It's not Yellow Blue fin Tuna or Mahi Mahi. Or flounder works pretty well. As Bait for sharks.
How deep were you fishing ? And how far out did you guys let ur lines out ?
it all depends on water clarity weather and were the fish are holding but on this trip we were fishing 100-150ft set back and 20-40ft otw
I gotta try those. I went out Monday with some Flicker Shads and caught one salmon and one trout down 15ft
the bite was on fire there for a min and theres some big ol toads coming outta the lake year!
@@NorCalFishermen yea both were 20 inches! Hopefully the bite still stays hot for a while. I’ll definitely hit up berry when the bay is blown out. Still prefer the salt 😆
Good stuff boys.
Right on! Thanks for watching!
It was out of season?
Yes California closed it for last 2 years
@@NorCalFishermen two years! That's Crazy!
This is a rarity to see someone putting back at King salmon
Salmon seasons closed apparently we weren’t even supposed to put it in the net, but we just didn’t want to get broken off with the hook still in its mouth
Be some damn good eatin!
Thankyou for checking it out man! Fist big one of the season for us!
Why torture an animal and not eat it
Cause, salmon closed in California believe me I would’ve slapped them on my grill and Ate it with a smile on my face
@@NorCalFishermen Well then , I stand informed. Good reason
Yeah I want to keep nothing of the San Francisco Bay I was expecting a shark to eat him though😢
Halibut are great deep fried
so the power bait floats up with the hook?
Yes make sure you using a small enough hook so that the small glob of bait or power egg will keep you leader afloat off the bottom…I usually test it in the water before casting
Nice catches fellas. One suggestion--and correct me if I am wrong, but you might want to wet your hands before you handle the fish. Please let me know if I am wrong on this.
no no you are correct i def need to work on my fish handling skills when we catch and release thanks for watchin!
You need 16 oz trolling in San Francisco Bay. You also need good swivels to prevent line twists. Congrats 🎈🎉
Appreciate the info yeah we were trolling around 3 miles an hour. I think we’re using 8 to 10 ounce lead and our line just kept getting tangled up. I added a barrel swivel to our leader and it fished a little better but still not the presentation that we were looking for so we just opted for live bait drifting
Nice
Thanks
World restoration check in,good halibut catch i saw
Yes, that was our first halibut trip this season more videos to come soon. Thank you for tuning in.

thankyou bro!
Nice fish! I love the excitement on the boat with the big one.
thankyou man! my bro put us on em and we had a blast!!
If you want to catch tuna and yellowtail on a baitcaster get a tranx or a lexa.
But they do cost a lot more and dont have as much drag as the alijoz
@ZazuZaza123 I actually would like to take that comment back, I picked up 2 of the alijoz 300s and 2 400s. I am very impressed with these reels, can't beat them for the money. I bought them for loaners but have been using them myself.
@@brianwills4398 yeah i been hearing nothing but praise about these reels and im thinking of getting one too soon
Where were you parked when you were cooking the crab?
at my house in rosa thanks for watching and commenting!!
It certainly is innovative and already changing the way people think about trucks.
Dumb, dangerous, not even level 3a rated giant piece of underengineered overpriced shit.
i have done well for shad on the russian river.. i catch them on a fly rod.. when the sun comes off the water in the evening..9 foot 5 weight works well for this small river
nice when was this?
last few weeks!!
I was told they stopped stocking that place. How do you find out when it's stoked?
we just go every year around the same time and theres fish!
