Dunno if i missed it or where but what did you do s with the two wire connectors you undid from the box before removing it. I saw you tuck them off to the side but never anything else.
They are not needed so they can just be tucked out out of the way.
I never have to use a hose... If it's not turning with little movement on your end, it's not right. Simple common sense.
Great trick to get sparkplugs started 👌
Hell yeah man, thank you.
Hello again! I just had a quick couple of questions if you don't mind for a '86 Honda Civic Wagon 4WD: would you happen to know if the 4WD engines have a different transmission mount compared to the regular EW1 engine? I think I read that somewhere online but I don't know if that's true. And, would you happen to know any good shocks for a wagon? The KYB ones that I bought seem to be a little short, as if they're meant for the hatchbacks. Thanks!
Are you talking about the transmission mount that is on the left side by the battery or the one that’s at the rear of the transmission?? Unfortunately there is not many shock options out there, especially for the 4wd
@@junkyardboiz2896 Sorry, what I meant to say was: would you know off the top of your head if the 4WD wagon has a different engine block compared to the other EW1 engines? I've heard that the mating surface where the transmission bolts to the block is different on the 4WD wagons. Just wondering if you've seen this yourself. Thanks
The biggest difference with the 4wd is the bell housing bolts for the transmission are not the same as the EW1. The 4wd transmissions will bolt to a D16a1 from a first generation Integra.
@ you rock, thanks for the info B^)
How much
Please make more videos man! I have a 86 that needs some love!

Which port on the distributor is it top or bottom?
Thank you.
Question. Does a weber carburetor means less vacuum lines? Or vacuum delete overall? 1st gen crx
Just de-vacced my 87 crx hf using these videos. Previous owner installed a weber carb but did a poor job of devaccing.... it could barely hold idle before.... now she's running much smoother. These videos were incredibly helpful... many thanks 🙏
Just the project I want to do for the same reasons you did. As a bonus, you can reuse the blasting media. My driveway was full of baking soda when I blasted some gun parts. Takes away the need for eye protection and respirator when its all contained like that. Was looking for your parts list for the glove integration into the cabinet though.
What you are after for the glove integration is 2 Toilet Flanges
THANK YOU!! The detailed step by step and commentary is fantastic. at 12:15 or so, you pull a heat tube and then mention something has to be blocked off? Easiest with a grinder or welder. Can you explain more? I removed the tube and have an open end...is that what I need to address and what do you recommend? Also, the hard metal tube from the EGR assembly needs to be blocked off (according to the comment/reply below). I looked at E3 and didn't see anything specific. Advice?
The EGR tube should be welded shut or you can build a little block of plate for the EGR port on the exhaust manifold. The heat riser tube I would try and find a PVC rubber cap from Home Depot or something. I can’t remember exactly what size it is, but that would be the best way to block off the heat riser that goes into the air cleaner.
Have an 84 crx with 39k miles. Idles low and sometimes dies at stops. Driving and acceleration is fine. Any help or ideas you could point me towards?
Well, I would start with making sure you have a good tuneup. Like plugs,wires,cap/rotor/fuel filter. Once that’s done, I’d make sure your timing is correct and then after that I would start looking for vacuum leaks.
I’ve never heard someone hit 40mph so aggressively
I just got a 1987 hatchback dx and I was wondering if there is a way to keep the Electronic chocker
I have yet to be able to keep the electric choke
Great video series! Can I do this same De’Vac to an automatic?
Yes
Awesome, thanks. I really appreciate the videos!

Hi I have same engine same carburetor so can I change carburetor and put honda civic d15 carb or 1992 model
Using your guide 4 years later to devac my 84 hatch. Wish me luck!!!
Name of this carburetor I need gasket
How has it held up? I'm looking at a backpack for my junkyard trips because I've just had it carrying with my arm my overfilled milwaukee bag because I will look through everything to find where they randomly placed the new arrivals. Been using two of those basic tool bags that come with the combo kits since I need an engine and have my recip saw with me now.
I would high recommend this bag. It’s been 2 years and I use it 2-3 a month on junkyard trips. I will say just be cautious about how much stuff you put in there. You can fill it up quickly make it heavy and hurts your back, but otherwise I would definitely recommend this for junkyard hopping.
Hey man you still around?? I have so many questions. Can you tell me a little more about this? How did you step up from OBD-0 to -1? Is that how you deleted the vacuum actuated distributor?
Hermano gracias por todo espero que sigas subiendo vídeos de este auto saludos desde República Dominicana
Awesome video. This looks so nice, great come up! I like this! This is definitely saveable, it's still got a floor pan. Bit of TLC and it's all minters.
No idea what abounded means but if you mean abandoned, you're an idiot.

Nice, but, can you do the wiring too!
I think your model is the rarest 1 year made I think
New subscriber!!! 🔥🔥🔥 I like how you kept the charging system from the truck!!🔥🔥🔥
I was going to buy one of these until I saw all the reviews on them. Every single person that did a review pointed out that they corrode faster than a fast corroding thing. Now at £140 GBP or about $200 you could argue that you should not expect anything better, but that is so typical of how manufactures from a certain country view your hard earned cash. Turn out cheap knock offs that look good value in the beginning but over a short period that 'value' turns out to be duff. I skipped out on buying the engine and went for a good old fashioned British Seagull Plus 40. Noisy, oily, and with no frills, but rock solid, still going after 50 odd years and so basic that a 2 year old could service it. May not have the glamour of a shiny new Chinese knock off but wont end up as a solid lump of rust inside one season.
More fuel! 3rd Gear start?
What ended up happening to this car? Did it work? How much boost and power did it make? Any chance i could DM you?
You can reach me on instagram @Rollz87 or torsionbarhondas@yahoo.com
What car is this mounted in?
This is a 1987 Honda civic hatchback back.
I have been wanting to do this to my squarebody too. It already has the 5.3 part done. Maybe your build will give me the motivation to just do it. Keep it up!
Dang. That alternator location tho. My guess is if it ever needs to be replaced it would have to be done from under the car?
It’s really not that bad you just have to pull the driver side tire and drop it through the wheel well.
