      I heard of eminence before, I believe I've had the one of the face creams before if I'm not mistaken, maybe, but I would need to use more of the products to give my opinion on it. If it's the face cream i think it was that I had it felt great, the smell was just a bit to strong.

    So glad to see you I followed you a few times over the years and I loved the advice that you give. I'm so disappointed that in Michigan unfortunately we've had Senators forcing to take our clock hours from 600 to 750 hours claiming that this is a requirement by the department of education 🤡🤡🤬🤬🤬🤷🏼‍♀️👎🏼🤦🏻‍♀️ and yet you still will always have those that are under that can you tell us what should be outside of the basics should we be learning if we're going for longer time considering that you're not taught the full eyelashes I'm very disappointed. I also would like to know have you gotten your instructor's license yet and if not why? If I did it I just want to become knowledgeable of the Skin Care knowledgeable of the products that go on the skin that keeps down the acne for more so the eyelash and unfortunately Michigan doesn't just have an eyelash course like multiple States like New York Texas Minnesota Arizona and Connecticut 🤬🤷🏼‍♀️👎🏼🤪💰💰💰💲 please tell us some of your opinion more advantageous do you get discounts if you work under a dermatologist on products and Skin Care?

      I'm glad you been apart of the family for some years, wonderful! Wow I see that's crazy i guess the increase is for "good moral character." I would say whatever your focus is get more education and training on it, for example lashes - take a in person lash course with certification, get more hands on experience and really level up on mastering lashes or whatever services of your focus. I have not gotten my instructor license yet, although I have thought about it, but for some reason I have not moved on that decision yet I guess it's me preparing myself for school and really honing in and focusing on just that during that time frame. I'm just to busy right now with other duties :) thanks for asking. I believe most times if you work at any beauty or spa place you as a worker my receive a discount or services and products at least it's been that way for me. I would try searching on eventbrite for lash classes in your area making sure they are able to provide you a certification for completing the course or training. As estheticians Research is our best friend you want to make sure you are reviewing and looking up places making sure they are legit and so much more. Even google lash classes or courses in your area. I recommend all estheticians to start a UA-cam Channel and start doing affialate marketing products will be rolling in left and right! :) We are somewhat of a skin educator! Many blessings your way! keep going don't give up 💪🏾✨

      @@SBEaesthetics I hope that you will do a video that will address when you do longer time in aesthetics from a school perspective outside of the basics what should you learn. Mostly all state boards always use the term good moral character I can care less about that because if you're upstanding citizen that that pretty much covers that my thing is that they're claiming that the department of education is requiring people to go to school more longer and yet when you call them department of education they say they have not implemented that.

    Thank you for doing this video I've been seeing you for the last two or three years and I love your content. I live in Michigan and as of July 8th 2024 unfortunately the state decided to increase esthetician hours where you could go either 400 clock hour when you're playing out of your pocket 600 clock hours. When going by Pell grants and loans now they're going to make you do 750 hours and they don't even teach you proper eyelash training such as every curl type 🤪😕👎🏼🤬 so my question to you being that I'm already licensed as a manicurist but want to additional training because I'm kind of retired from the manicuring just lost my passion for it. I've been debating whether I should go and take this up which is now going to be longer or just go for the hair which means you are licensed to do everything 🤔😇🤷🏼‍♀️ can you tell me what might be a general start salary in your opinion? What supplies do you have to stock up on when getting ready to start working for a salon or spa that you would recommend you should have already on hand? I'm really interested in eyelasheshowever Michigan doesn't have eyelash technician licensing meaning that I'd have to save some money and be able to stay in a state for a couple months just to be able to get this license. Do you have any recommendations? What's Detroit love celebrating my birthday month through August 💯‼️🥰🌹😉🌹🎂🎂🙋🏻‍♀️🎉

    • @SBEaesthetics
      @SBEaesthetics Місяць тому

      Great questions and totally understand. I'm glad you love my content, thanks for being apart of the family. I would say go for what you are going to be willing to offer as a service, go for the services you can see yourself doing happily. So if you also like doing hair I would say go for your cosmetology license because yes you can do hair and skincare services all of it. I actually have a video coming out soon about salaries stay tune for that. I should consider doing a video on what supplies to stock up on when getting ready to start working for a salon or spa 🤔. I believe in order to offer eyelash extensions in Michigan you have to have your license in cosmetology or esthetics, however to actually learn the techniques of lashing you would need to also get certified to offer eyelash extensions. In the beauty industry we never stop learning and always need certification for (skill, trust & creditability) 😊. Happy BIRTH-Day hopefully this helps a bit 💚

    Why you show up on my timeline like you know my business sis?😩 I open my business a couple years ago but things went 👎🏾( I’m a skin specialist) I had to close my salon because I was literally working to pay bills my first mistake was working full time for my self, I should’ve got a part time job which I didn’t do I had to close my location I’ve been working from home but business is so slow the fact that I’m working from home I feel like I can’t market because some people don’t like to come to people house for facials or body sculpting treatment. Now I have a full time job 12hrs 4days a weekend i have my schedule open Friday through Sunday but even though I’m reduced to just a few clients a month I want to at least booked on the weekends. Can you give me some tips please 🙏🏾 and yes I do have a UA-cam channel but I barely post any videos I’m a shame I need to start working on making it my second business but I’m not good at filming I’m going to keep using my phone until I’m start to use an actual camera. Thank you sis I love your contents

      LOL...yes I totally can relate, the good thing is your still active in offering your services, thats wonderful, because the line of our work we need energy and dedication. I would try to promote your weekend availability on social media offering special weekend deals to attract clients. You can also boost your online presence by posting short videos on youtube or other platforms make sure it's engaging and make sure you share before and afters, your skills & client testimonials. Another thing you can do is offer mobile services this is something I've consider to do ever since I left my brick & mortar spa suite. You can go to your client homes to make it more convenient for them and give them a peace of mind. Hopefully some of this tips were helpful and will provide you an idea of what you could do. 💚

    For the dermaplaning, I order from dermaplane pro the 10r blades and I use there AHA/BHA TONER before and after dermaplaning. I also use very little oil. I find it's actually better because you cab really feel how much pressure you're putting on the blade and less slippage lol. When I dermaplane myself, I break out sometimes but it's where I have more terminal hair vs. Vellus hair. You can offer to wax the terminal hair first and when you dermaplane over it, just reduce the amount of passes and strokes and the barrier will not be compromised ❤ just a suggestion 😊😊 great video thank u!

      @SBEaesthetics definitely! I just started doing this technique alittle bit ago having learned from an amazing trainer. I had my doubts about the barrier getting ruined but it actually works out if done correctly😁 and yes I love dermaplane pro or the blades from Circadia are absolutely amazing..pricey but Worth it! Love your content!

    I’m having a hard time deciding. I’m a licensed esthetician and want to do lashes part time from home. I want liability coverage but I don’t know if I should do corporate or sole proprietorship

    • @SBEaesthetics
      @SBEaesthetics 2 місяці тому

      When offering services involving skin-to-skin contact and using products, I recommend forming an LLC rather than operating as a sole proprietor. A sole proprietorship does not provide limited liability, meaning if someone were to get injured or have a severe reaction to one of your products, you would be personally liable. Where as, an LLC would protect your personal assets, as the business itself would be held responsible instead of you. I hope this information is helpful.

      @@SBEaesthetics yes thanks! Do I need to register my home business with as a cosmetology salon. Or can it be labeled as just a lash artist business? I work full time at a hospital so lashing would be a side hustle/hobby

    Excellent information, thank you. Do you think working from home is a good idea?

    • @SBEaesthetics
      @SBEaesthetics 2 місяці тому

      You are so welcome! If you're not paranoid and generally trust the clients coming to your house, it might not be a bad idea. However, you need to be comfortable with that decision, especially if you have kids, a spouse, or other special aspects of your home to consider. Great question.
