    Sir, usually for earth mat design we consider soil resistivity data at depth or spacing of 10meter for determining soil model. What should be the depth or spacing at which resistivity data should be considered please guide and also tell if there are any references in IEEE, for the same. Thanks

      @@mohamadnassereddine5894 Sir we have received the resistivity data for different depth 0.5m,1m, 3m,5m, 7m,....upto 25m for different points of substation. Now my query is that upto what depth we have to consider for soil model

    Hello, very nice but you missed something. The high voltage battery 560v consists of 10 x batteries in series and you compare the numbers with 1x51,2v battery. The correct comparison must be 10 in series or 10 in parallel and all numbers are equal! Also in parallel connection if 1 battery has a weak cell and falls behind in discharging the others take care of it whereas in series there is no help and the battery discharge equally so gets hot and stops the system. In parallel you can continue with 9..

      We are referring to voltage levels. For the 51.2V the Ah will be ten time more. Regarding the unbalance cell, the BMs balancer will be activated to address the issue, similarly in the 51.2V battery Keep in mind all large scale energy storage including EVs one are made of HV batteries

      @@mohamadnassereddine5894 no it won’t, if you apply a load of 50kw like EV car, the 10 in series will get 100amps and the 10 in parallel will get 100amps each, so the only problem is the thickness of the cable in parallel for the main positive-negative busbars (must carry 1000Amps), there are metal busbars which are bought once maybe in the whole lifespan of the batteries, another issue is the rating of the fuses (should be 200Aps for each battery.. all these increase the cost of ownership this is why in industrial scaling the high voltage steps in. But again I am telling you, if one cell fails for any reason (and Balancers /bms don’t save the day, most of them are rated 1A/2A) then whole unit pushes the load through that battery until it stops (low voltage or temperature) and then the unit stops. In parallel situation you can continue with 9 butteries or less provided you have rated cables,bms and fuse properly. Industry created the high voltage to reduce cost primarily and the complexity of components. I have around 100kwh of lifepo4 in 2 locations 48v systems off grid, and in parallel and it amazes me that the power is shared to the strong ones (higher capacity) , or higher state of charge by physics law. This would never happen in series, they discharge all together and charge all together and if one is left behind it takes the blame

    Earth resistance can be upgraded during time of Erection of substation or during mesh greed maintenence effectively using latest technology and material availability.

    Perfect representation bro. Got a question 1- if we have an MPPT wind / solar controller, where we have to connect the inverter for ac household equipment ? 2- If we have an MPPT solar/ wind hybrid controller Instead of connecting the +/ - DC to the battery, can we connect +/- DC to solar MPPT inverter and let the inverter charge the batteries !     Ok followed everything except for how you selected a/h value from the Sunde's chart. The first time it seemed to correspond with the calculated p2/p1 value, but the second time seems arbitrary. The only correlation I am able to find between the 2 examples is they both seem to be close to the middle of that section of the Sundes Curve.
