Absolutely brilliant mate, just fixed my tap that was only trickling, good as new, thanks again!
Thank you!
Ha thank you for this, at first I was twisting the part above it thinking why won’t the bloody bottom part come off. Held the top part still and the bottom span off easily lol 😂
Super helpful - thankyou!
I bought a new shower hose to freshen things up, but I can't stop it from leaking from the base. I have a power shower with strong flow but the old hose didn't have a noticeable leak at the base (not a tap but from the wall). I tried a spare o ring that came with the hose and managed to stretch it around the base head but it still leaks. I am out of ideas! Would a better fitting o ring be the next thing to try? The old hose even leaks now! I am guessing some limescale was helping to seal it in the past. Any ideas?
Thanks so much. Had this problem and I aced it 😊😊.
Thank you! Very helpful!

I need to do this. You have saved me money and frustrations thank you. 😊
My light bulb twists the other way
Thank you.
Did you ever put some loctite at the bottom of the thread to stop it moving down over time? Did it work?
Thanks for making video - I have a similar issue, with the same model tap (the flow from the cold water tap is now down to a trickle). I was wondering how to take tap apart, in order to by a new stem, but it appears this is a known issue, and taking the stem apart, giving it a good clean and tightening it will solve the issue. Thanks once again, for making a very clear, and easy to follow video.
Thanks so much, that worked for me😊
This video was better than the insurrections Amazon gave me
What does it mean if my shower is leaking from the same spot but when the shower is off? New cartridge required?
Thanks bro
That bottom bit does not come off on its own
It does, I was having the same problem! It could just be screwed on tight and the upper part is looser. Just make sure you hold the upper part tight, mine had this little grey ring with two bits poking out that you could hold on to. Then you can screw the bottom off easily
I think I have mine non standard… the top part unscrews but not the bottom part! :((
Exactly what I needed thank you
Perfect video showing exactly what I needed to do. Thanks.
I'm a plumber and it's not an easy job 💩

What are these rings called? I found some that say they are for outdoor water hose faucets. Which size should I look for my universal showerhead?
Thank you so much
This is really embarrassing, but TIL. I used to think you just hung the lampshade on the pendant or the bulb... I have a PhD and I'm in my mid thirties :::facepalm:::
very good thank you
Wow thanks for this great tips.
To unscrew the hose, do you normally turn clockwise?
Nop, to unscrew it turn it anticlockwise direction.Always Remember left loosely, right tightey.
Thanks for the extra info it rlly helped
Thank you 🙏🏻
Whoever lived in my house before me screwed the bastard in with a vengeance. Cannot get the bottom bit off to save my life.
Free Tip: Do NOT go to small privately owned bathroom and plumbing shops. They tried to rip me off today saying that I needed to buy a new hose for £25 after I already bought one from Wickes for £8. When I went to Wickes a superb guy helped me out. He WD-40'd the stuck Reducer a little then opened up a new packet of a specialized Self-Grip Pliers (which he wasn't allowed to do) and twisted it and got it off. We saw the amount of limescale build up and I asked him if vinegar was ok to use and he said "ye spot on". (soaked it in Cyder vinegar for 10 mins ALL the limescale disintegrated leaving a lovely shine.) But before that omw home I went back to that rip-off merchant's store: Me: "Hi! You remember me?" Store Manager: "ye hi" Me: "Remember you told me this was all one part right?" Store Manager: "Ye very difficult to get seperate parts. You have to order in advance" Me: Unscrewed the 2 parts and showed him Store Manager: Expression like a deer in the headlights of an oncoming car Me: "And you tried to scam me with bullshit saying I need to spend almost 3 times what I paid at Wickes for a hose which didn't even have the right connector or even returns policy. Because of that I won't be shopping here again and I'm going to make sure people know how you operate. Latas" Store Manager: "oh, sorry" lol
After learning how to fix my shower hose I then learnt how to replace it and then how to remove the jammed on shower hose Reducer. All fitted perfectly but then leaks sprung from the hose connecting to the shower controller. I was so disappointed in myself as I wanted to surprise my dad. He was still impressed and very happy as we have had to shower bending down because we had half a hose since January, so this was still an improvement. That all led me to this video. GREAT video! will get then O-rings tomorrow. I'm sure they will work as I cen see EXACTLY WHY the water is coming out...no seal (has washers but those are deeper inside. TY for this awesome video mate. You got a new subber : ]
