Hi Boggie, when the system is down the program will be not in run mode. (it is as same as your laptop/desktop). Once the system is back online, if the programs are already scheduled to run in background at specific frequency, they will resume as per the schedule.

Great Aditya. I suggest you to become expert in BW ABAP. With your current experience (1yrs 2months) and Package of 3.8LPA => you will get better opportunities. Salary can go up to 100% hike. You can contact me for BW ABAP training. (+91-9739983992). Without BW ABAP expertise, you can go up to 50% to 60% hike. However, the percentage of hike you can expect can also depends on the companies need to fill the current position and urgency.
