nice Hazelnut Tree (mid October late !) finding a few nuts on the ground, UK wild nature countryside
Late in season so by now the hazelnuts have been eaten by the squirrels
The odd few can be found on the ground
When i think I have found a new hazelnut tree but I am not 100% it's identified correctly I look on the ground for evidence of last year's shells or even a few old part rotten nuts

1st material seen is used to get an ember and is egg box cardboard (this is great for a basic ember but not so easy to get to flame) 2nd material seen, used to get a flame is regular news paper If you notice I roll the news paper into a loose tube, giving it many layers This also gives a tube to blow down This can help when your trying to get the red ember to jump 'to flame' (like a wind tunnel...
