I strongly prefer the magnets to be on a flat surface and the v-groove be opposite of the magnets

Lowes hod the knife on sale for 9.99 yesterday, so I grabbed it. I really like the idea of it.

DO the swisstools hex bits rust ? I saw one video of PB Swiss Tools PB 8510R-100 where half the bits were rusted, even after the so called nano coating!!!

Where were you able to get the 20-in-1 with the 9/16 nutdriver? All the ones I find have 1/2 as the biggest.

Looks actually very clean and still not bulky for being a ratchet screwdriver.. I like my Klein and the grip but I have smaller hands so something like this is more intriguing to me also the 72 tooth is welcoming. Thanks for highlighting this, it's something I would actually try and use in the field.

Maybe, or highly likely, I need to be educated on the matter. But I find it so ironic that the shaft is shaped to fit a wrench, because you could have just skipped this tool and gone straight to a wrench in the first place. Really what is the point? I suppose this would be slightly faster than the wrench to turn the bolt so many times on an especially long rod, but I don't see that being a common enough situation to justify another tool set purchase and storing it just to save a minute on rare occasions.

One thing you didn't mention, these are made in Taiwan. Klein has another pass through set very similar to this (pass through, wrench-ready shaft etc) that is made in USA of US tool steel.

Tried a pair and they were TERRIBLE! Stiff and rubbed. Completely unlike my other Knipex

These are NOT made by Klein. These are made in Germany by NWS and then rebranded with the Klein logo. NWS is a direct competitor to Knipex in Germany. They make good quality tools similar to Wera and Weha, and I definitely wouldn't consider them a cheap knipex knock off. Especially since they aren't really all that cheap.

I bought this the other day and I can't put it down. Like you said... It's the best of both worlds!

I'm just really unsure about the ability of that magnet to hold the rule as I'm running it down the width of a panel with my pencil in it to make a line. I suspect it will drift. It might be fine for laying out every conduit individually, but that's inefficient. Also, most of the time my panels are mounted before I can lay them out and the "Strut line" requires the square to rest against the back of the panel but the wall is there. Oh well, I think I will buy a "Holocater" instead.

I maybe in Kliened to get one, will it sit on copper tube / pipe 1/2" in diameter, I know the magnet is not attracted to copper, I have heard that the plastic screen scratches very easily., and they would like a better screen. I quiet like water levels fopr long distant level jobs, gutters etc. thanks for your time, for us.

Just for tip, it would’ve been nice to see you load that thing up to max capacity to see how much it can handle and shake your arm a little. Also, can the magnets come out? Machine washable any more details. Best regards
