A review. It isn't a comparison with the M7. Agreed there is minimal difference between the M7 and the M7 Pro, but there's also only around £15/$15 between them for the 32gb+1tb versions, so unless you really want a slightly lower-spec Ryzen 7 processor with slightly lower clock speeds vs Ryzen 9, it's tough to recommend the M7 over the M7 Pro.

Interesting points raised - can say we encounted no heating issues with the M7 Pro at all, and Oculink is a real winning element with these mini PC's. Whilst we haven't tested the K8, an eGPU with the M7 Pro is a really great way to spend the extra money vs the K8 and an eGPU - but it would come down to buyers preference I suppose. Great stuff on noticing the heating issues with the K8 however, always good to get more info on anything before buying, so at least people might be aware of it now, and thank you for the kind words and sub, greatly appreciated!

Much appreciated for the kind words! Intended to have FPS running on the gameplay but we completely forgot! We'll be adding stats to the written article, but didn't suffer with any heating issues in use. When we get our hands on an eGPU we'll be doing another update based on using an external GPU with the Oculink connection.

This is definitely something we didn't encounter on either of the test units we had - but we had reached out to the makers of the R36S for a guide to help anyone that wanted to update the firmware, change memory cards etc Not sure if the answer you're looking for is in the manual they sent over, but it's worth a look. 100% agree the K8 is the better of the two- however when we were sent the review unit, the K8 plus wasn't released, but for the same 32GB+1TB model it's only £70 difference during the sale, otherwise it's £103.04 more Grabbing it on sale though, would highly recommend the K8 Plus on specs alone though

No pre-determined time on the video, just as long as it was after editing - we was sent the review unit but the video wasn't sponsored. In game FPS settings was definitely an error on our part, didn't even notice until you just mentioned, but we should have had it turned on!

@@podcastvsplayer i know it wasn't sponsored, that was my point. if you want it to be then you should consider cutting the intro time way down as well as the gameplay and fill it with other things that the pc can do if you want to keep viewers engaged.

This was what worked for us, and the only thing we found that worked that wasn't HDR, was making sure there's no update for GeForce - failing this not sure of any other trick. HDR has worked for us every time. There is a new NVIDIA App that will be replacing the GeForce Experience - might be worth downloading the Beta and seeing if that helps at all?

I've just looked through the list and unfortunately it's not on there - however you can add your own titles to the system, so you could get it on there, I just couldn't say how well it would work - if it relies on the touchscreen a lot, it would be quite cumbersome, but not impossible!

There's little to be negative about - biggest gripe is the menu rocker is too small, which is mentioned - but the screen quality, portability, connections and included stand/cover - all the things that effect how good a portable monitor is, are all great.

even the good version run some of the 3D games like trash, just use it for the 2D games, if you want something better get something like a ambernic RG35 XXPLUS , im getting one with the better Operating system installed that runs upto ps1 games ect like the KNULLI Operating System on a 258GB SD Card , You can Copy The 15000 games onto another SSD and use them games on diffrent devices, Back it upto onto your PC or something then you got them games forever ;) can even get new games and put them on and play them too

There's no appstore built into the projector

We had no issues with the brightness - in both daytime and night-time testing image was very good. This will depend on the scenario as much as the projector - our testing was done in a dark room and projected onto a 100" 16:9 electric projector screen with 1.1 gain, and the same room with the blackout blinds open. Both scenarios provided watchable projection, with obviously the blackout blinds closed giving the better viewing, as with any projector.

You'd still need home internet for the N300 to function as it's a router and a WiFi extender

They're both really great mics - personal preference would fall to the K688 - but others would sway the other way. For $30 though, that's an absolute steal and would 100% recommend

No apologies needed, not a dumb question at all! That's correct though, as long as you're connected wirelessly, then HDCP would prevent the apps playing, this doesn't happen when the input device is connected via HDMI though (not to overcomplicate it, but some things have HDCP for HDMI too, not in this instance though), so you could connect your phone with the right MHL cable (depending on your device) and watch that way
