Growing up without water and electricity, I never thought I can travel! I am a Solo Female Traveler who likes to push the limit! Just visited 107 Countries, 7 Continents and 50 States in USA! My dad passed away when I was 4 years old and my family struggled to survive! My mom never attended school and she had to work a few jobs to raised 5 of us! Since young, I knew there is no other choices but working hard! Work hard at school, work hard at job, save money and chasing my dreams!
Worked in Los Angeles for years before I start traveling full-time. After Covid, I realized that life is so short & fragile, YOLO! I want to chase my dreams before it’s too late ! By sharing my story, I hope I can inspire a few people to start chasing their dreams too!
My ultimate dream is to visit 193 Countries, Every Single Country in the World! Come and join my journey on UA-cam, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok under “Virginia Ko Travel”
Thank you so much!
Let’s start chasing dreams!

2024 Smart 8-yr old Sherpa shares her stories of family, house, pet, hobby, school and ambitious! 4K
Sherpa Vs Porter
The term Sherpa and Porter are often used interchangeably in the context of mountaineering and trekking but they are very different!
"Sherpa" is an ETHNIC GROUP native to the Himalayan region, particularly in Nepal, Tibet and Northern India. It is not a job title but an identity! Sherpa are highly skilled in high-altitude climbing and often served as guides, climber or porter. Sherpa is The Hero in Mount Everest Climbing, without their helps, a lot of climbers might not make it to the Top of Everest! I have watched so many videos on Everest and always want to meet Sherpa in Nepal!
"Porter" on the other hand is someone you hire to carry bags/loads during trekking or mountaineering expeditions! This is a JOB, not an ethnic or cultural designation. Porter can come from any ethnic group or regions in Nepal, for example Tamang, Rai, Limbu or Gurung communities.
1st Sherpa Interview at the Himalaya
I have never done a personal interview like this before but I always wanted to do it! I love talking to the local people when I travel, it is part of MY cultural discovery! I realized that most people are happy to share their stories when they are comfortable with you! I love children but I don't have any children of my own, not that I know of 🤣 Children are so innocent and honest, sometimes I get a big surprise or heart attack by talking to them. Most of the times, I learned about their family, cultures, school and friends, which made my travels more personal and colorful!
After arriving The City of Phakding, I have about an hour free before dinner time. I decided to walk around the village and I accidently met this little smart cookie, Pemba Doma Sherpa, who is 8-year-old. She is good in English and able to have a conversation. (Sorry I can't speak Nepali) I am amazed and decided to have a chat with her. She loves stickers and luckily I brought some for the kids in Nepal 🇳🇵 I gave them candy that i bought from Los Angeles too 🍭 I hope you enjoy the interview and learn a few things about Sherpa.
I am a Solo Female Traveler and Solo Editor lol! (No budget to hire someone) Please let me know what you think about personal interview like this, should I do more in the future travel? What questions will you ask? Any feedback how to improve the video format? editing? Do you prefer with or without Caption? Most importantly, it is very lonely to do editing alone, please drop a word just to say Hi 👋 or tell me a joke lol! Any future travel ideas are welcome too! Thank you so much for watching 🙏 😍
