This is a city in the making. The City of Barisse. A french Caribbean island. There will be more videos from this city later. Some How To's as well
Very cool seaside, well done mate
@@PartTimeMAYOR Thanks, mate! Really appreciate it
1. I think the entrance to the island should be many 2. offices and commercials will suit the place too. 3. I also think you should team up others players to boost your publicity. 4. Great work, keep up.
First of all, thanks a lot for engaging and for nice feedback. Really appreciate it. 1. I totally agree 2. Totally agree here too. I've been considering more office space and will make sure it happens in the next 1 or 2 episodes. In the next episode, which I'm working on right now, we'll be taking on the peninsula + the space between the peninsula and the canal-like build. I'm not completely done with it, so I might squeeze in some offices if the episode won't be too long. 3. It seems like a very good idea, but it's a pretty new channel and I've only been doing this for about a month, so I'm not very good a it yet 4. Thank you so much
How do you place buildings individually like that? I dont seem to have that option and the standard zoning doesnt seem to like curves.
@@stewartmackay I’m using several mods. It’s Find It to find the buildings and Anarchy to place them. Plop the Growables makes sure I don’t need zoning to keep the buildings. Then I use Move It to bring them to where I want. When I started out with mods in CS1 I wasn’t sure about plopping and anarchy. Now I don’t want to be without
@@BeyondHorizon82 Thank you, I will check these mods out. And great video too.
Thanks a lot!
And also, I find it nice to just do simple zoning when I know I can get the results I want. It's just when I know it would be very hard or impossible to get the results I want I use mods
This sounds like it was originally written by chatgpt and then narrated by some AI. Island looks nice though!
@@Luos_83 Thanks for engaging! It’s not originally written by ChatGPT but it’s spell and grammar checked by it. And thanks for the nice words
verry verry nice. More nice videos please.
Thanks a lot! I'll be posting another video during the weekend
One of the best builds I've ever seen
Thanks a lot! Really appreciate it!
script sounds like chatgpt....hard to explain but it has a certain tone to it
It’s spell checked by ChatGPT. I spend between 15-25 hours on every video and don’t want to spend even more time spell checking
It's hilarious! Loved it!
Hi, very nice indeed, one quick question can you tell me the name of this music 41:30, thank you for posting.
Thanks for your kind words. The music is made by AI and tweaked a bit
@@BeyondHorizon82 So you are a visionary in architecture and music, nice to meet you, I will see your dreams here, thank you, kind regards.
Not sure about that visionary and architecture thing, but I love playing the game and love trying to create something special and unique. And the game is really taking shape now, so it will be even more fun in the future
Your channel is underrated!
Thanks, mate. Really appreciate your kind words
Cities: Skylines 2 are closer to the promised land than ever. It took quite some time, but with official asset import support and more CCP's and DLC's we keep getting closer. Leave a comment on the video and let me know what you think
Why no Left-Hand drive on the roads?
@@tbonemah This is the third city on the same map and, unfortunately, one map can only have right or left hand driving and it can’t be changed when a save game is started
Where rum punch meets fish and chips ha ha. 😁
Agent 47 😅
😂
Nice video, subbed and liked. Keep going!
Thanks a lot. Appreciated
God those apartments in between that highway interchange seem like the most dreadful place on earth to live. Could definitely see that being in the UK, amazing build!
@@hugevibez Thanks, mate. Love the UK region pack
Nah we drive on the left this aint United Europian 😂
French rules 😉
Very high level detailing over here. Stunning!
@PartTimeMAYOR Thanks. To me, detailing makes it more interesting and I find it impossible to make something close to realistic without
Hahaha well done you got me. Loved the intro…. Stumbled here video by mistake…good idea, town looks great. Subscribed and watching the rest🎉
Thanks, mate. And thanks for kind words. Working on the next chapter now
Amazing video!
Thanks! And thanks for watching
Nice vidéo, so cool !!!
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Where is the traffic?
@@Slickslot It’s a small town for now. Not that many residents. Besides, there’s only one outside road connection on the map
Sure one large flat area is the biggest mistake…yea I try to respect those contours in my cities😂
Absolutely! A flat area is like a pizza without toppings-just not as interesting! Keep those contours coming!
Really nice detailing, i like it a lot
@@PartTimeMAYOR Thanks a lot, mate!
Nice
Thanks, mate!
chances of getting stabbed here 0%
Your city looks great but I think those tall buildings will require a parking lot
Thanks for your feedback and kind words. They sure will. There's a large one close to the large buildings but it's not close enough to the town center, so it's a part of the plan for the next video
„One thing is missing, a british town“ a thing no one will ever hear a frenchman say
@@badgedbadger016 Eric Cantona probably 😉 Otherwise, I agree
@@badgedbadger016 thanks for engaging btw
Nice!, You are just missing left hand drive LOL
Thanks! Yea, the local French government would allow for left hand driving because of safety issues ;)
This is a really nice build, but isn’t it supposed to be left-hand driving??
@@The_Chips103 You might be right. I’m hiding behind the french government 😉
this is a noob question but, do you have like industries and farms built to maintain that income? I want to have fun and build like this, but my money always has me restarting within the hour. I'm noob btw. also your small residential town looks amazing
Thanks for engaging. Offices are the single best source of income. They often require highly educated people, so you need to make sure your education system is in place as well. As far as I know, farms are a good secondary source of income because it provides the industrial companies with cheaper products and make them more profitable
@@BeyondHorizon82 gotcha, so this is with regular economy mode on and everything. I feel like im filling in tiles and building out too fast to meet demand, but then i have no money for services, like not even anything beyong a small elementary school lmao i rarely even get to unlock offices but at that point, ive got so many farms running it doesnt even look nice, not that any of it looks nice. i will definitely try it out though, i appreciate the advice!
You might wanna start smaller. Don't spend everything before you hit play. Build a simple road layout and with room for residential, commercial and industrial space. Make sure your ground and air pollution stays away from your residential area. The economy simulation has changed since the game was released. It's harder to make a city profitable now than before. You get less money for each milestone as well
@@BeyondHorizon82 thanks again for your responses - after reading your comment I googled it and realized there was a new update that changed the whole economy side of things. I swear this game wasn't this hard when I first played at the start of the year lol I will have to change how I play completely and see if I can even maintain a positive economy before building a more detailed, beautiful residential zone like yours - thanks again, got some reading and catching up to do on the economy update
@ Yea, there where a lot of complaints about the game being to easy, so they made som changes. You now pay for tile upkeep among other things. Funny way of making it harder, but it works, so why not. Thanks for your kind words
Very detailed build, you can see a lot of work went into it. Nice!
Thanks. A couple of hours 😉
