it's funny that the earliest Charlie Chaplin movies shot 10 to 15 years after Alice Guy movies are inferior in quality and techniques!! The picture of Chaplin movies of 1914 -1917 is so fast and flickering that I lose the interest in following the plot...also the actors faces are so exaggerated in makeup and expressions....I do not how come Alice Guy was so advanced in her time
Que c'est drôle. Même la musique anachronique ajoute à l'effet comique. Avec un coup de coeur pour la danse de la maréchaussée, qui devait faire bien rire les spectateurs de l'époque.

that little girl is MARÍA AMAYA FAJARDO, ?? cantaora gitana, una de las más celebre y famosa conocida en el mundo entero de la historia del arte del cante flamenco con el apodo artístico de LA GAZPACHA, nació en Granada en el año de 1903, y murió en su Granada en 1961, muy joven por cierto. Hija del tocaor Fernando Amaya, hermana de Josefa, Paca y Miguel Amaya, intérpretes del baile. En el Concurso de Cante Jondo, celebrado en su tierra natal en 1922, canto por bulerías y tarantas obteniendo un premio, acompañada a la guitarra por Pepe Cuellar. Igualmente fue una gran saetera, <<y en los días de Semana Santa según Eduardo Molina Fajardo corría de un lado a otro, sin olvidar el Coliseo Olimpia.

Yes, it is. I think that they were dancing to fast playing ragtime music from the era. And for some reason, someone wanted to dub much more recent music over it, which so didn't match. So yes, those people were not really dancing to the music heard in this dubbed video, they were dancing to early 1900s ragtime. Why they couldn't just play that and give us the real feel of the era? I just watched it with the sound turned off and pretended music from the era was playing, which actually really was to this short film of the time
