Oops
Gray, go with original
Leave it as is ,
Sh- happens
Look forward…not back…I can see it happening
I say yellow
Looks Good Yellow,maybe some Grey. Two-tone. 😊
I vote yellow!
I say go with the grey. Or check under the yellow to see if you can see a grey or if yellow is the first coat.
Wow, already ready to paint. I remember the video where y’all pulled it out of the weeds. Wow that’s amazing. Nice work, can’t wait to see the finished product
I have tons of IH and Farmall parts here. A lot of 400 and 450 parts tractors, good radiators and ect.
I've never seen portal axils on a tractor before. Also, keep it yellow.
@@DucksterIn_a_Truckster pretty neat that they were doing this in the 30s!
If it were me, and it isn't, I would try to preserve it as much as possible in the original paint colour. It's not a 5 minute job to prep it for paint either. Yes yellow does look nice, but for me it's originality all the way. Makes resale value better too if you ever decided to sell it.
@@MtothaMFJ made this video like 2 weeks ago. Still not done prepping....
@@ThreeGenerationsRestoration That does not surprise me at all. The final finish is all in the prep work. You reap what you sow. I'm sure whatever way you go, this is going to look a million dollars!
There is a salvage yard in south east Iowa that has lots of Farmall parts. It's called Franzen family tractors give them a call for parts if you don't already do business with them. They've had almost every part that I've ever needed.
Mental mistake that's going to cause you to spend more time thinking. $$$$ cuts into profits. Maybe at a loss for it. At least nobody was hurt.
@@williamsnipes9810 if we break even I'll be happy
It would have been a good time to put a wide front on it. 😂
Yesh that sounded like the like and subscribe bell
Good decisions come from experience....experience comes from bad decisions.
If we’re laughing it’s laughing with you- I’m sure everyone here can relate pulling a boneheaded stunt of some sort!!
Quite embarrassing 😳
@TM-yp9bi yea it was😅
Glad you were able to get it back together .
Details matter!
Yes it is a very good lesson to be had you're lucky you didn't get hurt or thrown off the tractor I have an Allis Chalmers C and as you know that does not have frame rails it relies on the bellhousing and the front pedestal as the framing or the engine block it was at my Brothers one time and they went to pull start it not knowing the tractor was froze to the ground because it was winter and hook the chain to the front pedestal and broke the tractor at the bellhousing luckily it did not completely tear it in half but he had to find a new torque tube an engine block and also the expense of a gasket kit to put the engine back together
Things happen for the good and the bad. That's life and that's how we learn our lessons. When your done it'll be better than it was.
😮😮 from on U will make sure U put the frame bolts back in the tractor 🚜 😊 from now on 😊😊 OMG 9 12 2O24
Good lesson in safety more than anything. Glad you guys are safe and sound! I’ll add frame bolts to my list of things to not forget
Have problem timing as there is no red mark on the inner wheel. How is the keyway on the keyway on the shaft oriented when the red mark is twelve o'clock, or Is there a different way to adjust the wheel
@mobiklur If there is no red mark, look for a tapered tooth. That also signifies 12 o'clock timing position. Sometimes the red goes away. It may be hard to see but the tapered tooth will be there.
You absolutely did a fantastic job on the paint but what I wish they made and I'm not sure if they do is an alternator that looks like a generator I mean I know the convenience of a one wire alternator but I think it would look better with the generator on it
@brianbishop3562 one guy actually makes a alternator that looms like a generator. They are actually pretty neat!
@@ThreeGenerationsRestoration does he have a website or anything to look it up or see them
O sub to you thaks for showing me this .Just me but lm going back to old school way. Of equipment. Hell of alot cheaper and they ran far better. In my opinion. My grandfather and my father as l remember had very little trouble with theis machine's . I'II be looking for you evey day Thats again. By the way what state you in you ever sell l will buy. If l can . ( Money )
We are in Illinois by Chicago. Thanks for watching!
I have plowed a field with one of those once.
@@CamdenKale-r9i They are great tractors for that!
And they are great for pulling things as well. I’m may be young but I love all the old tractor and would love to start restoring them too. Keep up the good work!
Change your name to Rustoration
😊 WOW that's Awesome Beautiful
Rosetta McCormick Farmall super a
Glad it runs but not so good form pulling to get it started. Impatients and below your capabilities. Liked the vid overall
@kevincooke9291 we've changed our ways. This was 4 weeks ago. Wait until my next video and you'll see why. We may or may not have ripped a tractor in half😅
Great videos! I recently started doing some will it run vids on old tractors myself. They are so fun to work on!
@fixer2u yea they are!
good to see it running
@petergardner2334 me too, the Allis UC was very disappointing.
Marvelous Very rare indeed I'm 67 Grandad was a mm dealer from 37 to 68 I have only seen 2 other mt's besides yours in my life The coffee table books on MM -Twin City and Minneapolis are blank when it comes to MT s I think they evolved into the mdl U There is a little brother mdl JT that evolved into the Z If it were me I would go back to the farmstead and gather up the remains of the other one MM was never able to compete with IH on pricing in 48 my Father bought a new Z for $1200 Uncle bought a new Farmall H for $875 the same year This is why you can't swing a dead cat over your head without banging into an H or an M ---but anything MM is seen much seldom Please don't give up on the Allis UC also quite rare Keep up the good work JMc
@carolinemcnabb9957 will not be giving up on the UC. Just slowly fabricating a compression tester for it.
That thing is awesome it looks beautiful I want a farm all cub but money is money
Really keen to see what you do with that Twin City. Given how rare it is, it would be great to see a restoration series just on that tractor alone, just my thoughts. I hope you keep it as part of your collection Its also great to see the channel growing, you guys are doing great! Watching from New Zealand.
@@MtothaMFJ There's like none around. So I might have to keep it!

locked up tractors are not hard to free up. im 3-0 unlocking 2 IH Hs and one IH 300 using evaporust . locked up motor is not the end of the world!!
@kenschultz3836 it is when the guy wants top dollar for the tractor. We're pretty good about locked up engines but it just takes alot of time and money.
That grill on the M power unit may be worth picking up….
Supper cool finds! Thanks for letting me know .
