yeah a lot of civil service dreamers choose arts graduation over proffesional courses. i believe if you dream of something as improbable as happening to be in the cse exam list, your degree should be something tradable, something that should giving you a decent job. thats why when a lot of people told me to go for any degree, or i could have got admission in delhi university as my father really wanted to, i worked hard for one more year and got into a decent government medical college for mbbs. i don't regret my choice at all. i am still a cse aspirant and now i have a backup.

Mainai apnai 11 mai mam ko hi dekh ye soch liya hai ya kahu tha ki mai civil services kai liye prepare karungi . Aab mujhe pareshani nahi hai ki mainai arts li kyuki jab li the main society ko dekh kai li thi ki dikhdungi arts mai bhi scope hai .kar toh lungi kuch bhi bharosa hai but ye jo negative rumour felayi ja rahi hai ye badi galat hai . Arts walo i hope ki khud pai bharosha rakho sab aacha hoga.mai toh yahi aasha lai kai chal rahi hu.

I did my 12th in 2016, the same year miss dabi was rank 1. Scored 96.2% in Science stream, topped my district. The "effect" had me go for Political Science in Delhi University, although I loved social sciences in school, I didn't fully adapt to the subject. While I was fully active in my school, college just became an ends to this exam. I have also done my masters in political science, but no way feel like doing PhD in the same because I'm not interested. Trust me there is nothing a regret more than this. When you are at college, study the subject which you love, participate, live those college years. She also came to a college in campus, I went to see, most students left, they were just hollow words of motivation, there was nothing, blank words of proud and dreams and blah blah. Very rarely a topper can be a person you'll personally feel very uplifted with. Please live your college years, build a good resume, add skills, become a good person, kuch nai hai tab b opportunities dhundho, kuch b kro pr upsc krna hai ye soch kr baitho mat. I don't usually comment but i had to, I haven't even watched this video, but i have realised the impact of Dabi effect years ago ! Study well people

We saw about her that first attempt,first rank but real fact is that she started preparation when she was in class 10th mean ,she prepared for 5 years for this exam and her mother guide her who already passed UPSC ,so her case is totally different and also environment to crack this exam but if she were from general category she would fail in prelim in her first attempt but we just saw from surface and jump in the exam 😊

It was 2017 I saw athar and tina and read that page that day first time i knew that there is a exam called UPSC and i decied i have to crack it but i gave 2 attempt fail in prelims both yimes and Im in frustration, stress and enroll in a course but still I'm unhappy and depressed 😢
