Setting up a podcast room . Thanks for the inputs brother !
Record it and post it! It will help someone in the same position as you 👍
Hi can you mention which boom arm you are using?
So you have one camera picking up the audio and the other two just for video. So when you edit, you just add the close up shots and keep the audio from the wide shot camera?
@@harveyvictorcreatives No, i record into the zoom PodTrak P4 external recorder. Then the 3 cameras with each one’s audio gets sync’d up to the PodTrak p4 audio in edit
@@AustinMadriaga Thanks for the reply. Sounds like I can do the same with my comicalink preamp mixer

Which is your mic stand
How did you sync the audio with the video?
Bro you should do another interview with him I really liked this episode
I appreciate it!
How to connect your sound with your video? Which device?
I record audio separately in an audio recorder (zoom PodTrak p4) via my mics. And I sync it up with the camera’s audio when I edit.
i NEEDED THIS VIDEO. tHANKS
Thanks for watching!
Brother which are the 2 camera u use
For this episode it was the canon 60D and canon 80D
Please bro , i need to start podcast but i don t know which camera best
Sony fx30!
Hey can you put the link for the white table you use to put the mics on?
Dope! Thank you!
Glad you like it!
How, what kind of trade school??!
This was very insightful. I would like to send a dm to ask some audio related question about podcast recording, would that be okay?
Great! I just replied to your DM 🤙
i'm planning to shoot on two cameras and record voice using the rode bluetooth mics . so two cameras and a single audio source as they both connect with each other now tell me would that cause an issue or not while syncing?
That shouldn’t be an issue with syncing. If your Bluetooth mics are connected to one camera, and the other camera just has its regular audio, you can sync them when editing
@@AustinMadriaga no the mics won't be connected to any cameras but my laptop, I'll record on the laptop, will it cause any problems?
Unless you're live streaming straight into your laptop, If you record the audio only straight into your laptop then you will have 3 audio sources and you should be fine. One source from the mic going into the laptop, and the other two sources of audio from the two cameras. Then just sync up all audio sources when editing.
I'm loving your videos, I'm trying to start a interview podcast
I appreciate it! Never too late to start!
@AustinMadriaga very true I'm beng watching your videos to learn so thank you... do you offer 1 on 1 coaching?
@@PatriotRebel1776 DM me on IG let’s talk about coaching! @austinnmad
@@AustinMadriaga I don't have IG yet. Do you have a email?
Hoping that oneday I will have enough money to set up a studio like this🤲
Start with what you have! “Day one” > “One day”
Very nice. This was very thought of you and I appreciate it. I got introduced to this video as I was searching for equipment needed when one starts a podcast, because at work they want to start a podcast and I am responsible for the research and getting these equipment. I am an intern there. Wish me luck guys, this might me my breakthrough in life. Thanks again Austin, and to everyone, I wish you nothing but the best with your future endeavours. Love, South Africa.
Best of luck to you! Keep researching and applying to your craft and you’ll be great! Thanks for the support from South Africa!
All the best, you will do great!
Bro lens Full frame or aps-c?
Sony fx30 is an APS-C camera, so there will be a crop factor when using the sigma 24-70 on it
Thank you so much I appreciate you for that usually these UA-camr don’t really share their tech nor their strategies you’re one of a million my brother!!
I appreciate you!
Você já teve problema com a sincronização do áudio do podtrak p4 com as câmeras? Dizem que o padrão de áudio de vídeo é 48 khz e o áudio do podtrak p4 é 44,1 khz
Hey! I’ve had no issues with syncing the audio from the PodTrak and my cameras. I made sure that the cameras have good enough audio so when I’m editing it can pick up audio from both well enough to synchronize
Bro can you please send me a link for all 3 cameras
Hey! Check out the description, i have all 3 cameras linked for you to purchase. Also I included the Sony fx30 which is actually my main camera that replaced all 3 cameras in this video.
How do you manage to shoot with the two canons camera that can only shoots 29mns of video then stop?
Thanks for the question! I had a second person stop and record each time it got close to the record limit. But since then, i have upgrade to a Sony fx30 which has no record limit.
Another question, is it guaranteed that you make money on podcast that’s just starting off? Also what advice would you give me as I don’t have any audience or experience
Great question! It’s not guaranteed. You have to put yourself out there, be consistent with releasing, having a product or service to promote, and affiliate links to whatever you’re using 👍
Starting mine soon, any advice as to where to start ?
My advice is to keep it as easy, stress free and least amount of work put in, in order for you to produce content consistently on a weekly basis. Often times, we can be caught up with getting the perfect podcast with all the equipment. Just keep it simple. Use what you have, and invest as you go.
Do you record into SD cards for all the cameras?
Yes, I have an SD card for each camera 👍
Great video thank you!! are you able to tell me how do you edit the footage once youve recorded the video podcast. like how ou sync the audio and put all the video together of different angles, your workflow please. Thank you !!
Coming soon! I’m the meantime, you can search it on UA-cam how to go go from filming to editing to posting. There’s a lot of good resources out there 👍

Would be helpful if you added some b roll of what you said to do in premiere pro it would be more easy to visualize and understand
I’ll get an updated video on that. Thank you for your input!
This is dope! I absolutely love this video and I wish I could purchase everything you spoke about literally!
I appreciate that! If you decide to get any of the items links are in the description. Good luck with your future set up 🙌

Great setup but audio still can be better
Agreed! Audio was a work in a progress 👍
It is my first time viewing and listening to your podcast. Keep it up!
I appreciate you!
hello, what boom arm do you use for the q9u, I don't see it in the links. thks
Hey! Just Added the link in the description! It's Innogear from amazon.
Great, clean, informative, humble video with valuable content- thank you brother. ✝️
I appreciate you!
Do you use speaker monitors for audio
I plug in headphones into the Podtrak P4 and monitor my audio before and during a podcast
How do you put the video from the camera and audio from the recorder together?
Check out my recent video on my channel I explained it a bit more. Essentially I sync them up when I edit in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Canon recording is 30 min and stop the record how do you do for filming in continue about 1h and more without rec stopping ?
Thanks for asking! For the Canon record limit I have someone manually press record right before the record limit. Since this video, I have upgraded to a Sony Fx30 Camera which has no record limit as well as has an internal fan so it never overheats.
I love this setup! I’m just getting started with podcasts. Some good ideas here
Good luck to you! Links in the description for items in the video.
How the hell is it that we have the same lights, the same mics, the same sigma 16mm, AND the same recorder 🤣
It’s a solid set up!!
Please tell me the camera u use
@@abdiali1037 I use 2 canon EOS R’s

It’s really a good start my brother
I appreciate you!
By any chance would it be recommendable/possible to do a podcast with gopro (in case I also have iphone 14 but I would preper to use the gopro for memory space reasons...)? I have a "Logitech c930 pro" microphone. Any idea on how to connect them? How shall I make it possible for the gopro to not run out of battery? Maybe they are obvious questions but I've never did anything similar and even tho I am 23 y/o, I'm a tech boomer hahah
Hey! Depending on how you want your podcast. You could potentially film a podcast from your laptop and connect your camera and microphone to your laptop, and use a software like stream yard to do your podcast. Not sure about go pro though I have not utilized it in that way before.
Thanks so much for this! Do you ever have any issues with your ZV E10 overheating or the recording coming to a stop automatically? I have one ZV E10 and am considering getting another for my podcast setup, but I worry about the overheating as it's happened several times in the past after only about 20-30 minutes of record time in some cases, even in temperature controlled rooms. Thanks for any tips you may have on this!
Hey! I do have overheating issues with my ZVe10. But I recently got a cooling fan from amazon for it. Now I am able to record 4k 24 fps for nearly 1.5 hours with the fan attached to the back of the camera. Also, make sure the the LCD screen is open and the battery lid is open during filming, it helps with cooling it.
@@AustinMadriaga Thank you so much for sharing this, Austin! That is awesome and I’ll definitely be purchasing one or two fans myself! Any recommendations on brand?
