I'm a guitar player and educator from Chicago IL. Berklee College of Music graduate, class of 1995. Music theorist and transcriber. Jazz piano player wannabe.
This is where I post videos of song transcriptions I make for my private students and some just for fun in just about any style, mainly for guitar but also occasionally I'll post a jazz piano thing I put together that I'm working on. Original transcriptions of mine are added here regularly so be sure to subscribe if you like what you see! Feel free to drop a note on a video or email me if you have song ideas for me to transcribe and post here. I also make custom transcriptions for paying customers as well, so if there's a song or piece you want to learn but are having trouble finding music for it, I would love to help.

It's all 4/4
If you want it to be, sure. This video shows my interpretation. It plays along with the original audio perfectly if you sync them up. I used logical time signatures and time sig changes based on the musical phrasing (pick up beats, accents, etc) that the band uses. I could have written it out in 4/4 but it would have been a total mess that did not reflect the musical elements that we all hear. Feel free to make your own version in 4/4 though!

This song is played fingerstyle on the recording- and I wrote it out that way- so there is no strumming pattern per se.
Great job on this tune!🍻 It seems like a real challenge because it's so unorthodox thematically, melodically and rhythmically. I guess that's also why it's genius eh.
