I don't understand how people keep using the Rift S. It's such an absolute pain in most ways imaginable.

When my controler has 0% but dont die:

the rift s is honestly such an awful headset even for its time, the cv1 was way better in most ways and it was quickly overshadowed by the quest 1 once pcvr support improved, and then made obsolete by the quest 2... which felt pretty bad on release as well without third party accessories

idk if youll ever see this but as a former rift s player, just take a small amount of aluminum foil, wrap it up into a small ball and put it inside the battery casing and all your disconnection problems should go away
