I’ve tried the Badee Al Oud attar from Dubai Fragrance and some other houses too, and I’ve noticed that attars generally smell different from perfumes because of their 100% oil concentration. I’ve seen many perfumes and attars, and this difference is common since perfumes usually have only 20-30% fragrance concentration. In some cases, it’s hard to replicate an original perfume exactly, so I do agree with you that it may smell different. The original will always have its unique qualities. However, the attar's rich oil base does give it a different experience, which is why it may not match the perfume exactly. This is just my personal take!
