Roger is buried 15 miles from my home in a town called tiger Georgia. He was a major songwriter in Nashville. He co-wrote Lucille and Coward of the County for Kenny Rogers, Blanket On The Ground for Billie Joe Spears, and a song included in the movie soundtrack for "The Exterminator". A singer in his own right, he had a Billboard Top 30 hit with Yellow Pages in 1981. He committed suicide in Wiley GA, in 1982 at the age of 38, after being diagnosed with terminal cancer a year earlier. Yellow Pages is my favorite medium-tempo country song of all time.
