I have NEVER heard somebody so close to Jaco…. Birelli is a Master musician which rores with Jaco, when he was already in decline. But he really captured his Spirit ❤❤❤❤. Jaco lives through this THANK YOU BIRELLI
Jaco's groove. Very cool 👏👏👏
C est quand même le type qui me fait arrêter de jouer... fait chier, guitare, basse, tu me dois qq ronds...
6:26 just an amazing flow.
Agree with Adgo22! Bireli is a beast bass and guitar player in his own right!
birelli is just a monster either with the guitar or bass
😮
Fast besser als der Meister , musikalisch ein Ohrenschmaus
🎸💬hai colto davvero l'essenza di Jaco... Bravissimo❣️👍🏻
👋🏻🎸💬6 Grande❣️👍🏻
La réincarnation de JACO !!!!!! TOOO0P !!!!
Bireli: "I'm gonna end this bass players whole career!"
As he and Jaco were so close, this is for me not any type of rip/show off performance by Birelli but more of a genuine tribute to the greatest bass player ever..!! That he copped and studied all of Jaco's licks and line's and presented it all so musically I actually felt sad that Jaco's gone and am still to this day, blown away by what he left us..I can imagine he's looking down on Birelli and sayin' yeah man, your bad!! who loves ya baby!!..Birelli's musicality is 2nd to none..he is so f-ing talented,,sound, time, groove, knowledge..he's got it all!
Jaco Lagrene😘
Birelle Pastorius
1:28, Joining Django with Jaco is great. Birelli is amazing!!!
Sloppy
Too bad there's no more info!! When? Where? Who?
This concert is available on DVD under the title "Bireli Lagrene Gypsy Project Live in Paris". The entire concert is phenomenal.!!!!!!!!
Waow incredible he's killing it what a groove. Jaco would be proud to hear this! ua-cam.com/users/janreinen
jaco jr..
Incredible solo!
what is going on
2:33!!
Great vid. Did not know Henderson, and John patittucci were with him in 83.cool
That's becouse it was really in 1986 and not in 1983.
What I truly admire is how effortlessly he seems to play the fretless...
He realy has a free mind! He is the Music in human body. I think he's one of the greatest players - musicians of all times.
Thos dead notes were like jaco was playing
Wow jaco?
Didn't know Bireli could play the electric fretless bass. A little overplayed but showed great skill!
he does play the violin too at perfection and so many more instruments - including singing. ... "overplayed" you said ? well i don't know about that ... one thing is sure is when you do know how to play ghost notes the way Jaco played, you must feel really happy to play them too and keep on playing them till your fingers dies ... at least that's what i would do ...
The nearest sound/phrasing etc to Jaco I've ever heard [plus added be-bop style]. They did play together I suppose. Birelli is beyond exceptional.
yep Bireli was 18 at the time when he played with Jaco. Yeah you are right : mabe one of the closest to Jaco's playing and if not, he does have all the magic ghost notes Jaco was used to ... just amazing to hear
This is played at an insane speed ... but it's still clean
que som lindo...
what dvd is this from? where can I find the full footage of this concert?
Correct title is "Then I'll Be Home" - composed by Sadye Sheppard, arranged by Roger Neumann
It's "then we'll be home" or "Sadie's tune"
What year was this 1977?
That bass player is kind of good...
The more I hear this composition it seems it becomes more intricate and complex. Oscar Peterson knew how to use dynamics, unique tones to create a master piece. I miss him very much since his passing. There are many jazz pianists, but only one Oscar Peterson. He is my idol and continues to be! I write songs too and appreciate his originality, depth, and skill.
It may onlyt be a recording, but it is a real educational experiance.
I believe this is a recording, not a master class, and the title should read "Easter Suite."
Fantastic
Then We'll Be Home (Sadies Tune). From Oscar Peterson Superspecial (Nov. 14, 1976).
