Hey, what month did you go for those kind of weather conditions? And do you recommend the travel agency/package you went with? Thanks
What do you mean by a daypack ?
A backpack for just hiking during the day
FWIW, in the same year I did Kilimanjaro and I ran my first marathon. The marathon was harder.
I was 73 in 2022, my third visit...
I'm gay
I was afraid of this as I am currently on my hike up to EBC and this video really helped change perspective. Thank you.
What an achievement! Amazing!
I cannot wait to be there. it's on my bucket list too.❤
Top of my bucket list!
@ 2:55 is breathtaking for me . nice shot .
0:26 "They are classified as trekking peaks which means you do not need any technical skills to climb them". Well, "Trekking Peak" does not mean exactly that. Just that the permit is cheap. Just look at Cholatse 6440m, Ombigaichen 6340m, Kusum Kangguru 6369m (has been climbed only a few times ever, takes 5 days of high altitude rock climbing), Bokta 6143m, Huin Chuli 6441m in Annapurna Sanctuary.
Absolutely brilliant well awesome enjoy the trip of life time injoy Rebecca 👌🤙👍👍🏔️🏔️🏔️
Famtastic❤
But did you go up via Phortse High Scenic Trail or just slogged through Tengboche twice?
All you have to do is take your time, it's just a big hill and not a problem did it in 99 no training required x
Would love to win❤
get out of me left ear D:
Both video and audio quality are truly bad, can not watch this. One thing to say: drinking excess amounts of water DOES NOT help against AMS. It is big misunderstanding. Dr Peter Hackett, the leading world expert in high altitude medicine, holds the view that normal hydration (not thirsty, basically) or even being slightly dehydrated is preferred to drinking more than needed, which actually slows down the process. In the US more people die of hyponatremia (drink too much) than from AMS. I asked him about this personally and we had email exchange about this detail a while ago.
😊😊😊😊😊 😊😊😊😊😊
Epic, one day 🏔🤘🏽🙏🏼
It really is, go for it! 🤙🙌
I did it at age 66. I am now 85 and never regretted it. Hied a 15 person entourage of sirdar( head guide),young men who set u came, cook, dishwasher, porters, etc. As we ran out of food, some left. Finished the hike after 16 days round trip, with two, two-day acclimatization stops, and tents only, no fixed shelters. Started at Lukla Airport (9,000 feet) and hiked to Kala Patter (18,50 feet).
Wow! Sounds like you had an awesome adventure!
Everest Basecamp booked for this year for my 50th but this is next on my list. I have to climb Kilimanjaro after seeing your videos 🗻
It's such an incredible experience, culture, epic landscapes, our guides and porters are on another level. If you want to read more about the trip, we've just put together this article with everything you need to know about it. - evertrek.co.uk/knowledge-centre/the-beginners-guide-to-climbing-kilimanjaro
This looks like an adventure that I need to do. Amazing 🗻
It really is awesome! Head to evertrek.co.uk/holidays/kilimanjaro-the-long-way to get yourself booked on.
I am 71 and just did it October 2023. Age is just a number. I killed it. GO For It anyone over 60.
Awesome! 🤙🤙
whants the point of going at night?
You get to see an awesome sunrise once you reach Uhuru Peak, and once down back to the base camp, there's quite a walk back to the final camp. 😁😁
Hi Dave G here😊
No sound..?
I just watched it, sound all good?
Dream Experience 😍

Epic 😍
Looks absolutely immense. Last year I was in the rainbow mountains of Peru & Machu Picchu so this would be the pinnacle for me. I’d also like to raise some money for the epilepsy society charity & raise more awareness.
Amazing !! ❤
a dream...
I would love it!
As long as the child is wrapped up well on cold days, hat, gloves feet etc. I have seen a few going up Yr Wyddfa (Snowden) with a cold crying child. They are not moving, so are not getting actively warm. I can see on your vids that he is covered well for the weather which is great. Just something to be aware of for all considering doing the same. Check them often.
100%, always check the weather, and always cover them up if it’s windy, raining, sunny etc. Plenty of suncream! My son, loves feeling the wind, but best to keep them wrapped up most of the time! 😊
Guides were incredible on Kili. Yesse is a hero! ❤
Hello, May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED." God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith & trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?
How long is the trek anyway?
Hi! The trek itself for our Machu Picchu via the Tomacaya Route is 5 days including acclimatisation! The whole trip is 12 days in total. :) You can check it out here - evertrek.co.uk/holidays/machu-picchu-via-tomacaya-route-the-hidden-valley
@@EverTrekUK wow
The classic Inca Trail is typically four days. There are some companies that do a shorter 2 day trek.
❤
Hi guys it’ll be a year to date that Kerry and climbed Island Peak. Kerry summited unfortunately I didn’t make it
Wow this looks amazing. I need to do this mountain
Go for it! It's an incredible adventure! 🏔🏔
Interesting clip good advice. How old is the oldest guy that’s been up to the top.
The person that holds the record was an 89 year old lady!
I was there in Toubkal 3 times and it was amazing. Thanks for the video.
It's quite the adventure isn't it! 💪
