    THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. DO NOT TRY THIS!!!!!!! Even if the steps in the video are followed, YOU WILL BE KILLED WITH JUST 1 SLIGHT MISTAKE!!!!!!! IT’S 2000 volts, 20 times electricity needed to kill you in an instant. ONE TOUCH to the surface of the wood/clip/table/equipment WILL KILL YOU. AGAIN, DO NOT DO THIS!!!!!

  • @user-tz3fd8hm4q
    @user-tz3fd8hm4q 9 днів тому

    Don't ever do this!!! The insulation of your cables isn't rated for the high voltage. And in the video you say "about 10kV at only about 500mA". Dude, it's around 2-3kV at around 0,5-1A and up to 2A short circuit current. Clearly you don't even know what you're talking about. And that fuse on the primary side won't protect you at all if you touch the high voltage output by accident. I guess you don't even know what danger you're putting yourself in. One little mistake and you are dead before you fall to the ground! Just stop doing this shit and don't show other people how to do it if you aren't even aware of the dangers! One question: are you still alive? Edit: in the video you also said "10AWG wire because it's rated for 2000V" just because the conductor inside is thick doesn't mean that it's rated for 2000V. Judging by your understanding of electricity you should stay away from voltages above 24V.

    Good video, but don't measure from anywhere on a part you're replacing. If your new tie rod end is a different length yoir alignment will suffer. Measure from a point on the steering knuckle and it won't matter. Cheers.

    what good is a 14amp fuse when you can be killed by far less, should have put a smaller fuse atleast but in general this is not worth it

    ALWAYS use premium for small engines and with the lowest amount of ethanol possible. Ethanol absorbs humidity in the air. Unleaded with ethanol can become problematic for small engines, in as little as 30 days.

    The term (using a wire nut) is called "pig-tailing". Using the screws vs. the holes is referred to as "side-wired" as opposed to "back-wired" (using the holes). Ladtly, not only is two wires under one screw a really bad idea, it us also a total Code violation, and very unsafe. Thanks for posting.

    Also pro-tip for making sure your wire nuts are tight without using lineman’s or killing your fingers after doing dozens, a standard size tan wire nut will fit in the 5/16 nut driver on your 11-in-1, and the red B2’s will fit in 3/8 nut driver. Just be careful not to overtighten, I’ve accidentally poked wires through the tip of the wire nut, which is a short or a shock waiting to happen. It’s definitely helped me make some splices in tough to reach spots.

    Wrong tools, you also must not work live often. Better ways to grip the back end of the wire on the insulation. The bit for the wire nut isn't expensive. Probably waste enough labor to pay for it just doing a small number of these.

    You’d not have to do any of that crap if the American electrical system was brought into the 21st century from 1960 where it currently is.

      Exactly. Fucking twisting wires together and wire nuts. It's actually crazy thing to be doing this day and age. Any installation here in the EU would be condemned as dangerous if it was done the American way

    • @2Sorts
      @2Sorts 2 місяці тому

      @@johnlonergan2752 I’ve said on here before that any Yankee ‘spark’ going to work in the UK or Europe would be an apprentice at best and if they did even some of the stuff we see them doing here and on home turf they’d be sent home for the day - to look for a new job. I suppose there’s good reason for not exceeding the 120v found on most circuits in domestic dwellings.

    First when you score the insulation you only use a quarter turn and pull with less force to remove it, nicked wires cause problems. 2nd use the needle nose part to make a hook instead of those holes. Much faster.

  • @Ansestorape
    @Ansestorape 2 місяці тому

    The needle nose pliers on the wires insulation is definitely a sin brother. (Maybe) if your forced to work live and the wires were so far back thats the only option but I can tell its not hot since your toching the non insulated parts of tools
