Great list! Some of my favorites are l'Artisan's Patchouli Patch and Lutens Borneo 1834. I just added the Different Company's Dance of the Dawn to my collection and it is a gorgeous combo of patchouli and driftwood. ❤

Patchouli is my favourite note; I love it in all its guises. Behold Patchouli reminds me of Terry's Chocolate Orange, which traditionally in the UK we have at Christmas. My favourites are Psychedelique by Jovoy, Midnight Poison and Patchoul Imperial by Dior, Sticky Fingers by Francesca Bianchi, Reminiscence Patchouli and Coromandel.

I'm definitely going to get the discovery set based purely on how impressed I was with Jardin de Misfah. I've given up moaning about the construction and performance of expensive modern niche and designer perfumes alike (all NOWHERE NEAR as well made as fragrances from, say, 2005 back to the 1990s, 1980s and earlier just due to changes in the industry, ingredient sourcing and so forth-- what can you do, huh?) Anyhow, aside from the somewhat disappointing performance of Jardin de Misfah, the fragrance itself is ravishing, I so agree with you! I had an immediately positive first impression too. I'd love to explore the brand's offerings further and I found your showcase and thoughtful mini reviews here really interesting and helpful. Thank you! Love reading your viewer comments too, seeing which ones they like the most. Something to keep in mind when I do my own unboxing of a discovery set. 😊

I adore SJP Lovely! I always have & always keep a bottle in my collection!! I also own Apollonia & love it too. Apollonia is a much better scent in my opinion

I love clean reserve, but for me it does not smell like fresh clean laundry.. not even 1% It smell to me 100% sweet, vanilla, salted caramel and flowery..

Sunbleached is gorgeous for Summer! And on the less expensive side, I love SJP Lovely Sheer.

I love that you recommended some celebrity perfumes that are more reasonably priced than the niche perfumes. Thank you. My current three favourite musk scents to date are: Serge Luten's L'Orpheline (cold musk and incense), Mont Blanc Signature (floral musk), and Sand and Fog's "Vanilla Musk" oil. The last one is an excellent scent to layer over scents with poor longevity.

Have you tried the new Zara line of four musc frags? I was wondering what you'd think.

As always, interesting list. My favourit muscs are: Pure Musc by Narciso Rodriguez, Narciso by Narciso Rodriguez (white cube), Signiture by Montblanc. All of them I have in my collection and love to use them. They fit well both with linen shirts in summer and woolen sweaters in winter.

That’s funny I live in the States. No one ever comments on my fragrances except my husband. I think because in my social circle it’s maybe considered too intimate to comment on fragrance? Maybe because I live in a more conservative state? I wonder if it’s different on the coastal states here

I love squid just purchased a bottle

I am from Czech republic and also don’t get any compliments. I think that in Europe it is not usual to receive compliments. In USA people are more friendly and and say nice things to each other. But I have to say when I wear Guidance , people compliment me, it’s magic parfume 🤍

I would not recommend wearing Guidance to the office, girl! lol! It is a fantastic fragrance, but way too strong for a enclosed place. Just a friendly advise.

You get in Germany also no compliments. Even if they smell you they never say anything unless the Person is your family or best friend.

I would add Rosendo Mateu No 3 and Chanel Eau Premiere to the list. Perhaps something from Houbigant as well. BTW, I just ordered Minerva - I've been wanting Marfa for some time, but just couldn't pull the trigger on that price. :)

Yes, Chanel No 5 is one of the best fragrances ever along with No 19 or Shalimar, This is also only one I can use when I dont feel well as it does not irritate me.
