Denver has quality wins, like wins against Dallas and OKC. They’re not going to contend with the top of the west imo but they’re still gonna be a tough out. And Denver didn’t have as bad as a start as Milwaukee did which is why I didn’t group them in together. As for Dallas I like their team overall most of all their depth going 5-1 without Luka with a win coming against OKC is a testament to that. But they’re not better than OKC or Cleveland imo. I don’t think any teams in the tier below them are better than them but still wanted to make note of Memphis as they have impressed me lately along with Houston which I’ll address in a future video. How would you have them ranked?

I respect it. Still feel like I need to see more from Cleveland before I put them in Boston’s tier, what don’t you trust about OKC? I think they belong with Cleveland for sure at the very least. As for those other teams I can see why you think that especially with Dallas and how overmatched they looked in last years finals. Memphis is a team I think we should keep our eye on for sure. Had some unfortunate injuries but seem to be getting healthy now.

@@ITLIsaac OKC has the least exp it's just their second yr being good n I don't see no team being beating cavs or Boston in a series they got alot exp in both those teams sga never had a moments like d Mitch n Tatum it's a first for them n grizz n Mavs both have more exp than OKC n as we saw when grizz played Mavs they beat themselves

Ahhh Ok so you’re saying they need more time. I feel that. I will say the the Twolves last year, it only took them what? Like two years of losing in the playoffs before making it all the way to the conference finals even tho dallas made quick work of them, you never know OKC could have a similar response. I agree with you tho, I had Boston beating Dallas again in the finals again when it’s said and done, but I don’t think it’s an automatic bid for them coming out of the west. But I do think in away you answered why I had Dallas so high. But I see your point in why you felt that with Cleveland and Boston just being on another level and I’m not gonna argue with you there they’ve looked head a shoulders above everyone else. But also like I said I won’t put Cleveland in Boston’s tier until I see more. Think they play in like February, hopefully everyone will be healthy so we can take some things away from that game. I don’t disagree with a lot of what you said tho.

In key positions too. Their core seems to be healthy but, potentially not having wings to matchup against Tatum and Brown really scares me for them, and I didn’t mention in the video but I found out Levert is questionable as well. Those guys are solid defenders and contributors especially off the bench… that definitely scared me away from picking them. But I still expect a great game regardless. I still think they can win but honestly trust Boston alittle more under the circumstances. But could truly go either way especially with how well the Cavs are playing right now. But like I said at the end of the video if Cleveland keeps it close I like their chances to win the game.

What about the fact that celtics main big was out versus a big heavy team?? Everyone always wants to point out celtics opponents injuries but disregard celtics injures. Its weird

On that front it is oft over looked but I think at times that’s due to the fact that for me, personally I’m analyzing the game based off who has played so far this season. I loosely mentioned Strus but he also hasn’t played all year. Based on how the team has operated so far Porzingis hasn’t touched the court yet. Now, that is hopefully going to change very soon. But Levert, Wade and Okoro are main stays in the rotation so far this season. I am extremely curious how the Cavs matchup with Boston when Porzingis is back in lineup. Hopefully he’s healthy when they play in the next couple of weeks. But I think the context here is some of the big reasons the Cavs were undefeated to this point, were not present for this game.

@@ITLIsaacfor simplicity lets just say if celtics were healthy and their opponent was healthy, their opponent would be good but celtics would still be better. That goes for any of the teams they “cakewalked” through the playoffs or any games this season

Love seeing comments like this means a lot. I was skeptical at first because I wasn’t sure about their wing depth and still have my doubts about their wings, but he’s completely shifted that team and got them playing to their strengths looking forward to tonight’s match up vs a his former team coming in hot with golden state and intrigued to see how long they can keep winning and how they match up against Boston here in a couple weeks. But this is an outstanding start to the year for them and it’s in large part because Kenny.

They definitely have my respect, wasn’t high on them at all coming into the year and they’ve exceeded my expectations so far. They’ve been very good on both sides of the ball. Especially with that ability to blitz and send pressure, but CJ excels throwing the ball under pressure and I just kinda trust the Texans more, and if I’m not mistaken this is the first time Minnesota has played against CJ in his young career. You very well could be right and minnesota could win, but I’m more confident in Houston’s passing attack and WR core, even tho Minnesota has the best WR in the league imo.

Definitely, it’s only Week 1. I liked how Detroit looked and Philly was alright, but to me San Fran looked like the best team in the NFC this past week, so we’ll see how the rest of the season goes. But San Fran looked like they hadn’t missed a beat even tho they were without McCaffrey

We’ll see man, I’ve got a ton of respect for Geno Smith but I think he’s the worst QB in this division and although that WR core is legit, I just don’t trust he’ll make plays when it matters most … but we will see for sure.

I definitely think the Rams are legit. They’re offense is loaded. I think it boils down to how OPed the Cardinals offense looks this season they already had a top 10 run game and now you couple that with Kyler being healthy and that WR core…I’m just higher in Arizona’s offense. But if the rams finished 2nd I wouldn’t be surprised…

I’ll completely agree the Western Conference finals had me fooled. Watching the way Minnesota had beat Denver (the defending champs) and the watching them lose to Dallas the way they did definitely made me overlook the flaws Dallas had. And I know a lot will disagree with me but looking back I definitely felt like Minnesota or Denver would’ve been a better matchup for Boston. And seeing a team like Dallas win the way they did against Minnesota moved me for sure but definitely put too much on that WCF. Can’t even deny that. Things is now tho, with so much emphasis I had on Denver being defending champs coming into last year, I’m gonna put that same weight into Boston. They’re the favorites to me and we’ll see if any one can beat them next year because as of now… I don’t see anyone beating them.

I don’t think it should be knock but it definitely is a credit to Brown, in addition that I felt like Brown was more efficient than Tatum and I thought overall was more consistent in these playoffs than Tatum was. Tatum definitely did a better job getting his teammates involved but something was missing with him. I wasn’t super impressed by this playoff run to be quite honest.

Celtics for sure were the better regular season 3 point shooting team but they were alittle up and down all post season coming into the finals. Which was why I made the comment, but tbh 3 point shooting for most teams in the post season weren’t all that this year. But used more of the post season sample size more so than the regular season. Trying to figure out what metric is better in predicting playoff winners, regular season or playoff trend is something I’m gonna look at especially for this playoffs going forward.

@@noah_of_babylon it's not if you actually know the history of the game, but you casuals only know what you started watching and never went back and looked at the history. Lebron is so overrated. He has so many holes in his game, he has so many of the worst records. Biggest choke by a star, biggest blow out in the finals, most misses, most turn overs, played with the most talent only won 4 times. You need to stop listening to paid media and commentators who are literally paid to say good things about him.

Yeah and to be quite honest, now like I said in the video it is just summer league, but the shot creation I’ve seen the past few weeks wasn’t bad at all was able to get to his spots and get to the midrange/3PT with little difficulty. Your point tho about being able to play bigger than he is will be something I’ll pay attention too, because it does feed into how good he is defensively, I’m only skeptical of how much it translates going into the NBA against way better competition. So I know he’ll surprised people. After his last two summer league games, there were people who were hating who switched to saying oh he’ll be good. He’ll surprise a lot of people

No definitely don’t disagree with you here. Overlooking regular season results is something I probably won’t do again. Another comment I saw earlier too said I judged the Celtics too harshly from the past and the change from Smart to Jrue was a big deal. But I can definitely admit that oversight that I won’t make going into next year. Boston the favorites this season we’ll see if it hold tho lots of good teams coming for the crown next year.

I’ll definitely give that I was easy on him for sure. Because this was a celebration/apology to the Boston Celtics for doubting them I didn’t want to dwell too much on Dallas. I isolated Kyrie tho because he played so much worse although this wasn’t a great series for Luka his numbers were still there on lower efficiency. Kyrie no showing in Boston gave Dallas no shot regardless of how great Luka could’ve played imo…although lol one could argue Luka’s inability to defend could also be a hinderance to any chance Dallas had no matter how well Kyrie could’ve played. But they were for sure both not good enough.

Very fair argument, definitely didn’t consider that as I forgot how hard that 2022 road to the finals was for Boston. And something to consider going forward. Because based on how I see what you just pointed out, does being more battle tested throughout the playoffs work as a disadvantage? See Boston losing to Golden State and Dallas losing to Boston (even tho I’d attribute that more to Boston just being better). Or does being battle tested even matter at all? Maybe it does more so when the teams are more evenly matched? Interesting things to consider going forward.

@ITLIsaac Absolutely. Personally, I don't think it matters at all. In a 7 game series, with good health permitting, the best team wins 95 out of 100 times I would bet. The Celtics were so much better that I think they rested players to AVOID winning 70+ games & adding undue pressure. I think people lose sight of the journey & on that journey, there's ups & downs. JB & JT have had that. Now here's the scary part: 👇 JB & JT were at least 4 to 5 yrs ahead of schedule when you think about what ages great players win titles. It's usually aligned with their physical primes. JB & JT winning titles in their age 23 & 24 to start a season would've been crazy & historical abnormal joining the likes of bird & magic, Bill Russell & Tim Duncan as the best players on their team to win titles (these names come to mind, im sure theres a few more).

I actually agree and I think they are primed to win more going forward. My only concern with how many is dependent on how long they can keep these surrounding pieces together under the new CBA. Keeping JB and JT should be simple enough to a degree but how long can they keep Porzingis, and White, and Holiday. They’re going to need to take advantage of those draft picks in the future to maximize JT and JBs window.

Absolutely agree. I like the fit of the “big 3” of Sixers way more than I like the Suns. With the Suns there are a lot of redundant skill sets in that “big 3”. I still think Philly can possibly still run into the same problems of not having a true Point Guard, but depending on how they fill out the rest of their roster, they’re definitely a better team with George than they are without him no?

Never said they wouldn’t be, honestly believe they will be here for awhile. Locked down a lot of key rotational pieces for at least the next 4 years. Could be the beginning of their reign. But I am skeptical because I believed the same thing about Denver coming into the year, and no one has won back to back chips since 2018. We’ll see tho, they’re the best suited team to do it.
