(On iOS) I use dictation ever since it got a lot better. I use it when I can spell a word. Being able to type & dictate made my life a lot easier

Hey guys, I know you guys are left the center. I am also. But damn do you really have to fearmonger? There are things that are happening that many disapprove of. But is the next four years going to be you guys negatively framing things and only discussing things that are upsetting? I appreciate your dedicated discussions on tech and how it affects our lives. But please let us know if this is going to be “the resistance” moving forward.

I think the deciding factor for whether or not to announce something with the iPhone is whether or not its something someone would realistically buy while going to pick up the new phone. "oh, I'm getting the new iPhone, maybe I'll get the... while I'm at it" That's plausible for a watch or airpods, not a whole computer

if apple did pull out of a country for example the uk. the uk get 17.5% tax for everything purchased , so the money the uk or any other country would also loose a lot of money from the lose of tax from apple products been purchased in the country .

Hey guys, love the podcast! Glad to see the Vision Pro getting some love! To Jason’s point made at 12:45 there actually is a way so that keyboard occlusion while using Mac virtual display is persistent and not just when you have your hands near the keyboard. If you go into settings and then awareness and safety, there’s an option to turn off bring hands near to reveal. If you turn that off, the keyboard should always remain occluded when using environments. Hope this helps!

Thank you Myke for your opinion on Apple Intelligence Image playground. I personally don't agree with you but we can agree to disagree. Let's come back here a year from now and see if this Apple Intelligence feature was a success or a dud.

I love my M1 MacBook Air, but I can’t find a way to fully shut it off. Open the lid, it’ll boot up. Press on the haptic trackpad when it’s “off” will turn it on and it’ll give a haptic. I don’t know if there’s a setting I missed, but I don’t think I can disable that. It’s always sipping power sadly. I can’t necessarily power down my MacBook and walk away from it for 6 weeks (estimate) and have it still work. Which is weird

I think it's fair to say this whole thing is a debacle.

44:10 - Apple released this for two reasons: Tim Cook needed to have sort of new product released under him to point to shareholders that they are still innovating and are a 'growth' company. The Apple Car failure brought too much negative attention to the company; AVP was a way to provide some cover/noise and again show that Apple is alive and innovating. If the Car was not canceled, you can bet the AVP would have been held in development longer or canceled. The perception of Apple being behind in AI is further pushing them to progress in the world of MR/AVP.
