So impressive
Boo hoo, cry me a river 😂
I want text to sign language video display app
guys give me this ai source code if it was coded
Hi I'm Lucky, I need to make project like this
I wanna work on a project with you guys
Tim is the best!
This is amazing, thank you!!
Baby Yoda lol
holy shit bingus
how to make this one?
did you know how?
I thought it was an animatronic lol
I honest to god thought it was a live action prop. That's good
It was
when you think it was a advanced animatronic and 50% cgi, only to find out that was entierly CGI.
Evil meep and walking
Though I doubt the people who animated this will see it: I want to say I legitimately thought the meep was a puppet until the trial scene and that should be a testament to the fantastic work they did rigging and animating the fur and face on the model. I only got tipped off once it started having dynamic facial expression and movement, like once it pulled out it's gun on those kamen rider aliens. Really fantastic work by everyone involved I never thought I'd see such fantastic CG on a Doctor Who episode!
The Meep is still cute but evil lil Meep
Well i thought the Meep was animatronic so that's shows how good the CGI was!
Well i thought the Meep was animatronic so that's shows how good the CGI was!
Very nice!
I could listen to different versions of the Doctor Who theme all day (except maybe McCoy's, its a bit much)
How did you guys make this video?
did you know how?
Those fire and particle fx are some of the finest I've seen. Very good work.
He looks pretty cool
Careful, don't get her pronouns wrong.
I want to hug the meep
Your work on this special is incredible!
This was great can you guys do more special effects break downs in the future new subscriber here
God I love how effortlessly it transitioned from puppetry to CGI in the show
I just know John Smith was apart of this
I never thought that the day will come that Doctor Who has better cgi than some recent marvel movies.
More CGI = less time = rougher CGI. More changes during the process = less time = rougher CGI. CGI humans except under very controlled circumstances or with enough subterfuge = limit of CGI capability to fool human brains = mistaken for rough CGI. What Doctor Who does right, at least here, is to not rely on CGI to do/fix everything. That leaves the VFX people enough time to focus on what needs their focus. Marvel uses CGI to avoid having to make final decisions early on, and to avoid paying union workers for pre production work, and the result is the VFX people have way too much to do and not always enough time to do it perfectly, especially if they're asked to change things late in the process.
Amazing work! Congratulations and well done!
i hope they keep the practical effects though, that’s what made it camp and doctor who-y
The lighting is so good
Meep looks like Baby Yoda with albinism.
Really, excellent stuff, I knew some of The Meep’s scenes were CGI augmentations of the practical costume, but the full CGI Meeps used in some scenes were so good it was genuinely hard to tell which was which, which imo is exactly what we need!
Sick of people moaning about dr who just watch it and enjoy or don’t
I can't believe there's people who say the CGI is still kind of rough. This is the best fur and rigging I've seen in a while, even the spaceship looked like part of the set. Sure, our brains notice the difference, but almost seems like prosthetics and practical effects at this point. It's crazy, like UE5 levels of detail.
If CGI is good, you don't know it's CGI.
@@MitchellTF True, but don't underestimate our brains. The CGI is good, but our brains are far better at noticing digital input. It might take some decades to get to that level of realism.
@@MitchellTFI don’t think I’ve ever seen CGI where I was literally unable to tell that it’s CGI. There’s got to be a less strict definition than that
I thought the meep was a puppet dam this cgi looked great.
It was, but also a costume with an animatronic head, also digitally augmented over the costume, and also full CGI, it switches scene to scene for whatever works best.
@Lumibear. Well, I could never tell which was which. The only thing that was obvious was the talking.
@@Jimmy_Jones yeh because Miriam Margolyes’ voice for The Meep was recorded afterwards not before, there was a fair amount of digital re-jigging of the mouth movement needed for better lip-sync, but the original animatronic Meep heads (there were two, one cute one evil) still did a lot of the heavy lifting in many shots. I’m fairly sure that most, if not all, of Evil Meep seen in the spaceship’s ‘bubble viewport’, were full CGI, including the background. But when it’s so good that you can’t really tell, does it even matter!? ;)
The thumbnail looks like a skinless cat version of the meep 😂
oh no, naked meep?!
Why do they call it the 60th anniversary special... When it clearly is not, more like "series 4 reunion"... The 50th anniversary was an anniversary... So stop calling this pile of shite the 60th special. Thank you.
It's a special, that is airing around the time of the 60th anniversary. It's as simple and as literal as that.
it's the 60th special, it's the end of nuwho and the beginning of the third doctor who era frankly, it was incredible, from start to finish
@@Matt-cn2nn still a series 4 reunion... Bull shit.... Sorry..it's as simple as that
@@princessdie 🤣🤣🤣🤣 words can't describe that🤣🤣🙄
I regret seeing Bald Meep. I do not want to see Bald Meep. How do I forget seeing Bald Meep?
Unfortunately, there is no forgetting. It will remain in the back of your mind, forever :)
I love the meeps fur, it looks so soft!
Westerly. Pelican. Dreams. Tornado. Clifftops. Andante. Grief. Fingerprint. Susurration. Sparrow. Dance. Mexico. Binary. Binary. Binary.
I think The Doctor has a worm for that.
Oh to hell with it. You don't need stun guns :D
That thumbnail scares me.
OH MY GOD SPHYNX MEEP
It looked really great
All that money, all the special effects and yet the story was absolutely ruined by their message....
😂
All they need to do is remove like one or two lines for the bluray LMAO
If you let a few lines ruin a whole package for you then you must find it very hard to enjoy anything.
Cry about it, baby
Its so cool seeing doctor who getting disney levels of animation. At least we know its being put to a better use than the run down animation studios at disney.
You know Disney+ actually gave part of the budget.
What the meep wasn’t a puppet?
It was part puppet
Is was about 90% puppet, but there was a digital overalay and sometimes it was digital due to puppet’s limitations
They've got that Disney budget now let's hope they don't put it the waste just like those Disney plus Marvel shows
No they haven’t. Disney just do streaming. The effects on doctor who have always looked great
@@obiwankenobi687 I wouldn’t say always… But I do agree that most effects look great for their time. Especially when they were on a shoe string budget.
Meep looks like an alien from abes odysee if anyone remembers that game 😂😂
that alien would be called Abe
