Thanks for the informative video. When I come out of InDesign my form field names and formatting (fonts, sizes, field names) are not retained? I'm sure it's something simple.
@@dettrock Are you embedding the font when exporting to PDF
@@magentasa It says all fonts with appropriate embedding bits will be embedded. I am using rage italic (signatures), which says it can be embedded, and the other font is arial. This is a 9 page document, with a couple pages that were provided to me as a pdf’s, so I may convert those to outlines in pitstop, and re-link to make sure there are no issues there that are causing me a font issue. Thanks for the reply
@@dettrock You could use InDesign to convert your text to outlines. Do you can you email me a sample of the issue to training@magentagroupsa.co.za
@@magentasa It was a font issue. I took those pages provided to me out and it worked fine. Thanks again for the reply and advice!
@@dettrock You are more than welcome to reach out anytime. I am so happy to hear that you got it resolved
Thank you. you saved me. lol
Thank you!
that does no longer work. i even searched for "request" or "signature and acrobat v24.1 can't even find it. I can't even view tools as a matrix tab anymore so lots of options: gone.
Please note that this video was made prior to Acrobat's UI change. Are you using the Desktop version or the online version? Do you already have a document open in Acrobat or do you still need to open one? If you already have a document open in Acrobat then on your left side of your screen under "All Tools" look for the icon that says "Request e-Signatures" (pink in colour). if you can't find it then click the view more link at the bottom and it should then be visible. The "Add Recipient" dialogue box should appear which is the first of the three steps. If you are still stuck then book a teams call with me via outlook.office365.com/book/MagentaSABookings@magentagroupsa.co.za/ and I will help you
Ty so much
Thank you.❤
thank you a bunch
This is exactly what I need. Thanks
So awesome thank you 😎
your videos are good but please keep them shorter, seeing the time frame alone discourages me
Thank you for your honest feedback I will take your suggestion into consideration. I wanted to provide all the information needed. Suggestions are always welcome so I hope you will pop in again to see some shorter ones in the future.
Hello. What if a have multiple files with attachments each to send at once for signatures to tne same signers
Good Morning @claudiacruz2323, after you have added the email address then click "more options" button this will take you to a new screen (see 7:55 in the video) under the files section click "Add Files", you can then add additional files, the following file types are supported, DOC, DOCX, RTF, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, TXT, TIFF, TIF, BMP, GIF, JPG, JPEG, and PNG. Note that in Acrobat Pro you are limied to 100 pages or 10MB file size, check to see the "transactional limits" in your version of Acrobat (helpx.adobe.com/africa/sign/using/transaction-limits.html ). Hope this helps
@@magentasa Great! Thank you so much for your help!
thank you
Thanks❤❤
For whateevrr reason my adobe pro 2020 doesnt have request e sig anywhere and i cant figure why
Do you have a subscription license (login with email) or did you do a once-off payment (uses serial number). Serial number licenses do not have this option you would need to sign using the certificate option. Also, some Enterprise Term Licenses or Education licenses don't have it included in their agreements. Try reaching out to your local reseller if you purchased your license through one or contact Adobe support. You can check which Adobe plan you have by reading the following resource helpx.adobe.com/africa/manage-account/using/access-adobe-id-account.html
Yes our company bought a perpetual license for 2020 where we got a bunch of keys
@@bloodykon1 the "Request eSignature" feature is only available with the subscription option only. This is the reason it is not available in your version.
When I try to request signature it stops at 72% and says "you are not authorized to send documents for signature".
@rickyst3120 Please check the version of Acrobat you are using is it the Standard or Pro Classic version or the Standard or Pro Continuous version. Only the Continuous version has the cloud services which provide the signing option. The other thing to take note of is the version of Acrobat. Was it purchased prior to August 2022 and if so have you updated your software. The reason I am asking this is that the older versions (prior to August 2022) had an annual limit of 150 transactions this has since been changed in the newer version (post-August 2022). Hope this helps.
Really helpful video! I felt like i am in a training session. Thank you so much for sharing!
My pleasure. I am glad to hear you found it useful.
how to route the form so that more than one person can sign the document as the signature page requires more than one signature
Go to 4:47 in the video where you add the email addresses of all the people that need to sign the document you will enter between 1 and 10 email addresses separated by a comma, remember to enter the email addresses in the order that you want the people to sign. Then when the screen changes and you add the signature fields as a different one for each person that needs to sign - hope this helps.
@@magentasa Do have to have Adobe Acrobat Pro Account and signature feature or can you do it with if you just have Adobe Reader
@@botrrun9399 Yes you can do it with Reader (ua-cam.com/video/wideW_-FPMs/v-deo.html) but you are limited to only two requests every 30 days and limited to a max of 6 signers per request.
Is there any way to set a custom expiration date for the pdf requiring a signature?
Unfortuntately not within Acrobat Pro. It is however, available in Adobe Acrobat Sign, which is Adobe standalone signing solution which does not have the PDF editing capabilities.
How can the person signing (the person I sent the email to) remove the timestamp that automatically pops up and is required to sign?
Are you referring to the blue date underneath their signature
@@magentasaYes! I think the reciever.. signs and the program is changed to Adobe Sign from Adobe Pro... but how do you still get that timestamp off?
It's very helpful bro. Can I ask you some more questions regarding this E-signature feature in Acrobat Pro? If I need to send a reminder to pending signer to ask them to sign the form, how can I do that in Acrobat Pro?
You need to goto the home tab and look under the All Agreements section on the left hand side, then your list of documents will show in the middle of your screen, single click on the one that you need to send a reminder for and a column will appear on the right hand side, you may need to scroll down but there will be a section there called Reminders. If that does not work for you goto acrobat.adobe.com login go to the Documents tab at the top, then on left side click In Progress section, click on relevant agreement listed, then on right hand side click reminders.
@@magentasa Thanks bro. Do you have any contact so I can reach out for further discussion :)
