Greetings fellow 78 enthusiasts! Besides portraying Jiminy Cricket in Walt Disney's 1940 animated picture "Pinocchio", Cliff Edwards had a prolific recording career. Famously known as "Ukulele Ike", Edwards used his steel ukulele and crooning voice to wow audiences. Here's another rare recording that Edwards did for the Brunswick label. Enjoy!

@@Tairqthephotoman2024 it was definitely a unique experience lol. I thought each actor using a period correct firearm was super cool 😎
Been detecting for 4 years now and I still haven't found a single silver coin. I live in an historically significant area of California, too. I have also never found any gold of any kind. I have found 3 pieces of silver jewelry though, but man, I want the coins and gold jewelry. Everyone that I know that detects, has found all of those things. Bad luck I guess? Not too sure. Could be a skill issue, but not sure. I find a ton of clad coins and fake jewelry, though. I'm management in a retail chain, so I reconcile the tills at the end of the night. I've found nearly 40 silver coins that way.
@@rapaladude never give up the search bro. While the content posted on this channel showcases all the exciting things I’ve found metal detecting and coin roll hunting, there have been a lot of misses along the way. However, I keep on searching because a unique find might be around the corner. A lot of people don’t want to share their tips for metal detecting. But, as a fellow Californian, I’m happy to help 👍 1) Locate areas with historical significance. This can be anything from a park, a sidewalk strip, or a building. If you have permission to dig, go for it! 2) Upgrade to a professional metal detector. I own a Garrett AT Max, and the machine works like gangbusters. While it did cost a lot, I’ll never outgrow it. A few of my friends own cheaper detectors. They have expressed that signals are difficult to locate at times (their machines lack a lot of features that mine offers). 3) Sweep perimeters from multiple angles. Sometimes, signals might sound crumby in one direction, yet great in another. By doing a thorough sweep, you might find silver and gold in the same hole as a piece of iron. Hope that helps! If you enjoyed this video, please share it with your metal detecting friends 😎
I also have a Quarter from 1964 90% sliver. How much is it worth? Please let me know if possible. Thank you so much.
@@user-pe9qt1ks4y it’s worth roughly $5.35. You should check out NGC’s silver melt website that gives a breakdown of each denomination’s value
Someone lost that over 55 years ago.. probably when the school was built.
@@JMD-tu1xm possibly, whenever the coin was dropped it was uncirculated. But that doesn’t necessarily mean someone lost it in 1964. Either way, I’m happy with this find 😁
I have a bunch your telling me its worth more the face value
@@smoke_screen4197 if you’re referring to silver coinage, then yes. Any denomination with precious metals (silver or gold) is worth considerably more than face value. The silver quarter I found is worth roughly $5.35 in melt
Coins like that are almost never valued by their mint condition, it’s always their silver value. Most people stack old coins in rough shape for that reason, still worth its weight in silver and it’s easily identifiable as 90% silver
@@Mitsu3kGT I couldn’t agree more. The 1964 half dollar, quarter, and dime are as common as silver denominations can get. However, their silver content is still worth a significant chunk. Cull silver (such as this quarter) get traded fairly often at the shows I work at. Hopefully, I can find more at this school 👍

For those who are curious, the 2005 Jefferson nickel was minted in two unique designs. The one featured in this video includes the Lewis and Clark expedition whereas the second design includes the American bison. This is how I determined the proof was minted in 2005 without seeing the year 👍

What is your favourite disney movie princess and why? 🤍🤍
@@FamiliarFaith hands down, it has to be Tiana. Being a huge fan of jazz, I love her story taking place in 1920s New Orleans. Unlike other Disney movies, where the princesses are already well off, Tiana’s story is relatable. She works multiple jobs in the hopes of making enough money to start her own business. Furthermore, despite losing her father, he still plays a major role in encouraging Tiana to chase her dreams.

What is the name of the font you used for Cliff Edwards?
It’s known as “Metropolis.” The font has a very art deco style which makes it great for 1920s/1930s recordings 👍

If I had a nickel for every 1964 nickel I have found I would have about a nickel. 😂
Dang, consider yourself lucky. I’ve found thousands of them throughout my coin roll hunts 😂
In 1964 minimum wage was $1.25 - 5 silver quarters. Today those quarters are each worth $5.35 in paper. Minimum wage should be $26.75
Thanks for sharing that cool fact! Isn’t it crazy to see how much wages have changed throughout the years? Back then, you could go the movies (with concessions) for under $1. Nowadays, a single chocolate bar costs as much as $5.35 🤦♂️

What is a "key date" for a coin, or a coin series? Is this nickel more or less valuable because of the Denver mint mark, or just nifty for you because you didn't have one?
Glad you asked! A key date coin is any coin with a considerably lower mintage. I consider any denomination (cents, nickels, dimes, etc.) with less than 10 million examples to be rare. The 1950 D nickel had under 2.6 million examples minted which is extremely low. A majority of this year and mintmark are often found in higher grades. This is due to people hoarding the 1950 D in mass when the coin was initially released into circulation. So it’s a great addition to my collection :)
Where can you sell defective coins?
Are you referring to error coins? If so, eBay is a great starting point. However, if there’s a local coin show or club, I’d recommend attending. A lot of collectors are happy to share their insights on the value of your coins 👍

So this is the miracle. 🤍✨️💛
“…that I’ve been dreaming of!”
Hmmmm mmm 😄
Technically it is a wheat cent and not penny. United States has never had a penny in all of its history. United Kingdom has a penny but the US does not.
Yeah, I know. Even though it’s technically not a penny, a lot of numismatists (including myself) use the two terms interchangeably. It’s similar to how a 3-cent nickel is called a nickel, yet a nickel is usually 5 cents.
I'm constantly ranting about the improper use of language in this country. Just like we are not a democracy, nor are we Americans. Mexicans and Canadians and Brazilians are all Americans as well!. France has a democracy, and we have a constitutional republic. So, to add to this response, technically speaking, the United States of North America uses a percentage scale based on the Austrian Thaler. The penny originates from the weight measurement in accordance with a pound of sterling, hence penny weight. The problem with our modern civilization is laziness to retain historical information. We defeated the British twice and saved them twice. Driving on the right, using imperial measurements, and not having a parliamentary system act as a constant reminder that we're not them!. So please, say cent, not penny. We're not better, but we're different for a reason. That's my humble opinion.
@@russelldavidson8417 rant on someone else’s channel. I don’t need to be lectured. UA-cam’s top coin channels (TreasureTown, RobFindsTreasure, NuggetNoggin, etc.) say “Wheat Penny” all the time. If that’s a problem for you, don’t watch my channel 👋
Another 99 and you have a dollar.
Facts. Technically, I DID find another copper penny along the way, but it wasn’t old. So now I need 98 cents 😂
Nice bro
