Skoun, Addiction Treatment Center is a Lebanese NGO committed to bringing life, health and hope to the people and families suffering from any addiction through a sustainable treatment model.
Skoun aims to help people with addiction problems, claim their lives by providing a nonjudgmental and caring environment of treatment and counseling. We deliver the tools and information necessary to reduce the harm caused by substance use and we advocate for drug policy change and increased public awareness and education regarding addiction.

Socio-economic impact of criminalization, and the compounded crisis - SDP 2024
Decades of repressive drug policies have resulted in immense harm and have failed in their objective of decreasing the demand and supply for drugs.
A balanced, evidence-based and human centered approach to drug use has on the contrary led to overall positive results in terms of health outcomes and safety.
On the occasion of the Support Don’t Punish 2024 Global Day of Action, we renew our calls to decriminalize the use of drugs in Lebanon.
Decriminalization is not legalization. It is the removal of criminal penalties linked to the personal possession and the use of drugs.
أدّت عقود طويلة من السياسات العقابية المتعلّقة بالمخدرات في لبنان إلى أضرار كبيرة وفشلت في تحقيق هدفها بخفض الطلب والعرض على المخدرات. وفي المقابل، حقق اتباع نهج متوازن وقائم على الأدلة وعلى حقوق الإنسان في التعامل مع قضية استخدام المخدرات، نتائج إيجابية على الصعيد الصحي والسلامة. بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للتحرّك ضمن حملة “ندعم ولا نعاقب” 2024، نجدد دعواتنا إلى إنهاء تجريم استخدام المخدرات في لبنان. إنهاء تجريم استخدام المخدرات لا يعني تشريعه، بل إزالة العقوبات الجزائية عن استخدام وحيازة المخدرات للاستهلاك الشخصي.

لا كلامك غلط. انا مش لبنانية لكن فكرتك هي حابب ترجع لبنان غابة وكل الناس تتعاطى بحرية ودون حساب. تعاطي المخدرات لازم يبقى جريمة بسبب اثره البشع على حياة الناس اللي حولين المتعاطي مش المتعاطي نفسه. وقفوا التعاطف مع المجرمين
