It happens because it puts the champ at their max attack range, so if you're ranged, you teleport even further from where you wanted to exit. In that case, naut was just in some weird spot that it put him somewhere else because of the attack range repositioning. Ape.

I'm not a stats person but I'm pretty sure the probably math works as such .24 * .28 * .32 * .36 = 0.0077 Which would be 77 in 10,000 Or this would occur approximately 1 in every 130: 4 auto attacks in a row starting at .24 crit If my math is correct

Imagine being so ignorant as to not fix something because it's "not used that often". The fact is, August realizes that Zilean could use a rework, but since no one plays him that often he doesn't need to be touched. That easily translates to "Not a lot of people play TFT, so we don't need to balance a game where a player has 7 completed items going against another player with 15 completed items". Make it make sense; this is just Riot being lazy.
tft is still being played a lot, a more accurate example would be legend of runeterra, which is true to some extend since it has received way less support since its less popular
He's talking about a nerf, not a rework ("if [Zilean] was more popular, we would probably need to nerf him"), and nerfs aren't time-consuming like reworks are. Point being, this isn't Riot being lazy, it's just their policy with nerfs - their logic is that it doesn't make sense to nerf something if it isn't a problem. Something similar happened with AP Trynda a very long time ago: Riot knew it was insanely broken for quite a while, but they only nerfed it when people found out. I'm not saying I agree with the policy, I'm just saying it's not because of laziness.

riot changed how crit chance works a long time ago, so if you hit multiple crits in a row that the chance of hitting more crits gets lowered and the same way if you don't crit. So if you hit someone 100 times you should still crit them on average as often as your crit chance says, but it lowers the chances of critting or not critting many times in a row.
