I seen you click audio base what would happen if you did the audio plus/premium?

Question: I have had car play (old phone iPhone 13 ) but now have iPhone 16 different charger. And it doesn’t read as car play .. Thoughts on that ? Should I try and add CarPlay again ?

so do i need a usb iphone charging cable for the last few steps?

Hello everyone I literally just used this and it worked used a 10 pack 4gb 2.0 usb drive from amazon and worked like a charm no need for formatting the usb either, I DID RUN INTO A PROBLEM THE FIRST TIME with a different usb… the update essentially got stuck and wouldnt continue so the update screen was literally stuck couldnt play music even resetting var battery did nothing, so when the car turns on before the update screen comes on and it gives you the warning about driving I spammed the menu and audio buttons on dash and it got around the update screen. I THEN used the usb drive in the 10 pack i got above reinstalled the update and everything went smoothly

I’m doing this update as we speak…everything seems to be going smoothly….but is anyone not going to say anything about how he as almost 7yrs worth of storage on his computer 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Thanks for the step by step instructions.I downloaded the Audio plus -Panasonic version into my thumb drive and plugged into my 2018 Camry le hybrid.The system just detected the software and started doing the install all on its own.However the update took less than 10 mins and after restarting the vehicle as prompted, I did not see the Apple Carplay option. Any one with a successfull self update on this model?

Does this work for the se model too?

Thanks Chad! I'm all hooked up with CarPlay now! I'll share that I ran into a problem at the step shown at 3:15 in your video --- after about an inch of progress bar on "Installing 1 of 4..." it suddenly threw an error that said something like "There is no new software or the media is not inserted" and also a "device is not recognized" message. All I could do was turn the engine off and back on and let it try again a couple times, but it kept happening. Then I turned the engine off, pulled the USB, and turned it back on to see what would happen. It tried again to install the update, but this time the progress bar never started. Turned it off, plugged the USB back in, and turned back on --- and then it worked and the rest of the update proceeded with no issues. Beats me what went wrong (and then right) but I just want folks to know not to panic if it doesn't go as smoothly as it did in the video!

As of December 28th 2024 it works!!!! Thank you soooo much! And it was super easy to do!

Thanks for this video! I just put it on my 2018 Camry LE (12/22/24 install date) There was definitely some fingernail biting hoping I wouldn’t brick the infotainment system but it worked and functions like it should😅
