On the Road with Farrar and Jill - 10 Things We’ve Learned About Each Other
Thank you Jill & Farrar! I follow you on your FB page, which is how I found you on UA-cam. Your posts and videos have been such a huge help to me.
You are so welcome!
you guys are hilarious!
We try! 😂❤
An important topic to discuss 🙏🏻 Thanks for sharing!
Such fun and joyful vibes! 💖
So much fun!!
Starts at around 3:01
U ladies are absolutely hilarious!
Thank. you!
I have considered that my nest the next couple of years isn't "empty" (which just sounds so stark and sad), but instead it has expanded for more distance, and to hopefully allow others to join. We will always be a family, but the needs of each of us will change and adapt. :)
This was such an enjoyable, informative video. Thank you so much Farrar, Porter, Jill, and Truffaut.
Aww...just seeing your comment. Thank you!
Please stay on UA-cam!!! I love your videos. My daughter is in the 5th grade and you middle school video -- and HS to college summer series -- is priceless to someone like me. Also you could do podcasts...
Incredibly helpful! Both technically and emotionally. :-)
Thanks for the video. I am homeschooling my son in Idaho, which has no regulation/licensing on homeschooling. I submitted a letter of intent but CollegeBoard denied me. Not sure what to do here.
Hello, thanks for your video instruction! I encountered the same issue as the above user. The website forces me to choose a school enrolled with the college board. By "playing around with zip code", do you mean that we can find any homeschool with any zip code and chhose it? Let me know. Thanks.
I wish there was better balance between the loudness of volume between the two presenters. One is far too soft, the other far too loud. :)
All your videos are so helpful. And for AP, I knew my daughter can take them but all the AP I have seen discussed by homeschool moms seemed to have created their own AP course and there was no mention of an exam at the end. I also had no idea you could take an AP course and NOT take the exam but have the course reflected in the transcript none-the-less. You gals dispel a lot of myth behind HS homeschool. I've had trouble understanding why the stakes are any higher in HS than the previous years and why homeschool moms are so worried about it. Unless perhaps they are striving for their children to go to an Ivy League? But it appears I do have some research to do.I created an account and got stuck at the Home School part. It keeps forcing me to a public school. I'll call the help number and figure it out but you whole video has such great info. Thanks!
I'm sorry for the late reply. Sometimes you need to play around with zip codes in your state until the homeschool option shows up.
@@simplifyhomeschool I gave it several tries. It's a pretty tricky link, not really developed for the user. When I get serious about it, I'll reach out to the website contact and get help. I like your videos. You ladies are great.
Hi Ladies fromFB 😃
Hi! You mentioned that students need a World History course - would a World Geography & Cultures course be an adequate substitute? I ask since the Indiana Core 40 Academic Honors Diploma requires either "World History / Civilization" or "Geography / History of the World", but we are also interested in schools outside of Indiana. Thank you!
You’re like the homeschool Thelma & Louise, if nothing tragic happened and if they knew a lot of good stuff about homeschool and college! ✨❤✨
Love ❤❤❤!!!! Enjoy!!!!🌟✨✨
Love this video! I feel compelled to add that menopause was unexpected, too, and that can affect a person’s confidence. The group is great. My favorite group members are the ones who post questions that I wished I had the brain power to ask. 😅 This stage of life is no joke. And I wasn’t expecting any of it. 🤣🫠 But that is exactly how we began homeschooling. So there and back again! ❤
Thank you so much for this video, such a big help!
Awesome!!!
❤❤❤ love ❤❤❤
You are hilarous and funny!
I am so glad you said that after a while all those small schools look the same...that is what I felt after doing 6 tours in 3 days in CT and MA...liberal arts colleges all seem to be a good fit for my student and we have hard time picking the favorite :)
'promo sm' ✌️
What a great video. I wish I'd found your group and channel months ago. I appreciate the time and effort you've put into helping others with these intimidating tasks (likely they feel so weighty because we've put so much into our children and can be so fearful that we will let them down or mess things up for them if we don't get everything perfect). In addition to the practical information and walkthrough, I very much appreciate the way you reassuringly indicate with confidence that if a parent does some of the things a little differently, that's not going to totally mess up their child's chances. I like knowing the "rules" and being able to follow them clearly, but with so much on the common app that doesn't really relate to or make that much sense for a homeschool situation, that's been a definite difficulty for me. Thank you again, A Tired Senior-year Mom
Thank you so much for this video. I am about to start uploading documents!
Thank you, that was very informative! I have a junior now so the pressure is "upon us" :) I was thinking if not visiting a school can be a disadvantage during the admission process but it looks like it should not, right? We are doing a lot of virtual events but cannot do in person visits to all the schools we are exploring :( Thanks again!
Chicago school of Psychology Ireland??
Why no visit to NYU? Anyway looks like you guys had a blast.
