I think I had to cut some excess plastic around the speaker area of the door molding cause it wasn't flush. Hope that helps

Brotha, keep making videos. For a novice installer, you did really well IMO. As well as your solder job (For future reference you don't need a glob of solder to make a solid connection) it's pretty decent for your 3rd time doing it. I would definitely recommend some BoomMat or Generic Baffles as well as speaker foam gasket tape (the baffles and Speaker gasket tape should be no more than $15-20), and if your budget allows it, grab some sound deadening material. I would avoid the DIY Home depot material videos and just get the real stuff. Sound deadener isn't very cheap as I'm sure you know, but good news is you really only need enough to adequately conceal both speakers (There are plenty of videos on how to do so) Those little addons will help a lot with SQ, and will make a $50 pair of speakers sound like an $80 -$100 pair- if the install is done correctly. There are so many different generic sound deadening material nowadays - you can probably pick up enough for your front pair of speakers for less than $30. I Prefer NVX 90+MM or Fatmat if I'm on a budget, I wouldn't ever consider purchasing the original Dynomatt as it is x2-3 the price and approx. 20MM thinner than NVX depending on the model you get. And lastly, the baffles will help with securing the sound inside and eliminate a bit of road noise but more importantly, it protects the speakers from weather elements (dust, rain that may seep through a window seal, etc. And they're $10 for a pair so I would def. recommend those and Gasket tape to negate any vibration off the OEM thin bracket you used transferring from the metal door panel it's attached to. You can get good gasket tape at Home Depot or Lowe's. It doesn't need to say "speaker gasket tape". I place it between my Bracket and speaker and to my bracket that will make contact with my door panel if space permits. (if you decide to upgrade to Comps done the line- Make sure to mount and protect the X-over securely) I learned that the hard way. :) And of course, run some new speaker wire if you decide to amp those. It's not as daunting as people say it is and it's well worth the effort.
