So, I first read "The Gunslinger" in a county jail north of Detroit about 15 years ago and It is still one of best afternoons of my life.

A true classic.

“The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed….” Hell yeah! I’ve read the entire series several times over the years. I love that the first sentence of the entire story, and the last sentence in the last book are the same…. Gives it a satisfying symmetry, I think.
