Vildmarksvägen - Sweden's "wildest" road (Wilderness Road)
Vildmarksvägen - Sweden's "wildest" road (Wilderness Road)
The Vildmarksvägen (or wilderness road in English) is said to be one of, if not the wildest road of Sweden's beautiful nature. It's about 500km long and surrounded by stunning mountains, lakes and beautiful forests. The wilderness road lies in two of Sweden's most beautiful regions/countys, which is Jämtland in the south and Lapland/Västerbotten in the north. The wilderness road in Sweden surely deserves its name because of all this stunning nature and wildlife. For me personally it's not all the sights, that are marked in a map, but all of the stunning surrounding nature itself. Best to just drive or walk around and to take in this beautiful environment. Sweden's wilderness road definitely offers all kinds of variations in nature. From green and blooming forests over to grey and rocky wasteland. And the amount of lakes and mountains passing by are just insane.
The wilderness road definitely made me feel inspired and woke me up in a way.

What a stunning video!! Can you tell me the location of the small, bending river and lake around 4 minutes in the video? :)
Thanks. The river lies next to the small village Storsjö and it’s lake Storsjön which is located near the Flatruet region as well. Truly a beautiful area.

Whats the number of the road at 1:38? Im about to visit jamtland in a few days and definetly have to get there
The region is called Flatruet. There is only one street going through this terrain. It‘s Sweden’s highest waypoint and absolutely packed with reindeers. The sunsets are amazing and the vastness of the nature is incredible.
@@traveltheworldin5minutes i drove through there now 2 weeks ago. Just amazing. Many reindeers but not as much as 20-30 km south
Hope you liked it and got what you expected from this place. If you like this kind of landscape, you should consider visiting the real north of Sweden.
GOD BLESS SWEDEN FOREVER !!! 💙 🇸🇪 💛
تحياتي لكم من العراق-🇮🇶🇫🇮
Que lindo!!!!❤️ Sou brasileira, amo a natureza. Aqui no Brasil, e claro, aí também. Maravilhosas imagens!!!
Beautiful! The nature of Jämtland is one of the most special ones for me.

Überwältigend schöne Aufnahmen ❤️
Good video. Good job of making it. Love the country landscape.
Thanks. Yes, the countryside is definitely the best.
Alberta, Canada here. I love winter, just not when we receive minus 45 to 55 °C. Too cold 🥶 to enjoy anything outside lol. Beautiful video!!!! Just found out recently my great great Grand parents on my mother's side were from Sweden 🇸🇪!♡♡♡
Would love to experience this temperatures one day but can imagine that it can be difficult throughout the hole winter to. We "only" received minus 30 during that time.
Tolle Bilder und Eindrücke, danke fürs Teilen 😀
will be there in 3 weeks..
Beautiful time to be there.. Actually the time this video was shot.
Lovely video! I've often been to Stockholm but yearn to visit the Swedish countryside being from a rural area myself. Thank you for sharing your trip (and beautiful weather!) with us. I enjoyed your written commentary as well. Warmest wishes from Northern California! 😊❤
Thanks for your kind words. Stockholm really is a completely different feeling. Not comparable. The silence out there creates a completely different world.
As a swede I love Northern California, I spent about a week in Mt Shasta 2017. I hiked some of the surrounding trails and it is a magical place.
I love the style in which you make your videos. We occasionally see you from the back, giving that spectacular landscape a context which makes it even more impressive. No silly posing and inane wittering lol Just perfectly stunning! Thank you for sharing ❤
Thanks for your kind words. I'm trying to transport the feelings you get in such areas and surroundings through the videos. Happy if it worked out and you felt them.
I HAD TO stop by and comment. Breathtaking seems a small word. WOW.
P.S. 3:21 I felt it.
Thanks. It really is mesmerizing. Especially the scene you mentioned, feeling the snow and the storm on your face, looking over the hole empty lake. Definitely a special moment.
@@traveltheworldin5minutes ❤
the combination of feelings created by watching and listening to this video is amazing.. suddenly I got goosebumps and tears rolled down my face... thank You for sharing this priceless experience with us. I can only say - stunning, breathtaking
Happy you had this experience, because that's what I was trying to do with this video. Scandinavia is always a special project.
amazing! I am currently working on OmplopTrondelag Orthophoto projects for year 2022 - 2023 ,..excellent places...
Thanks. It certainly creates a great atmosphere between all the waters and the mountains.
Seeing this fills me with such happiness. I love winter, it's my favorite season. I've been nicknamed "snow princess" and "snow girl" before because of my love of winter. A lot of my ancestors were from Sweden (you can tell from my last name Swanson), I'm not sure which part but I suspect the northern region. I not only am very cold tolerant but I thrive in freezing cold temperatures that are uncomfortable for even the hardiest winter lovers here. For much of the winter the only difference between my summer and winter outfit (a long, airy, flowy dress) is that in the winter I pair a scarf with it. And I live in the northeastern US, one of the coldest regions of the US when it comes to winter weather, so it's not like I've never experienced cold before. I want to experience the kind of cold they do in far northern regions, temperatures like -40 degrees or colder.
Glad this video grows emotions within you, because that's what this channel is supposed to do.
I love Winter too. They make fun of me at work about it all the time but i don't care.Winter is so beautiful.
@@troyjenkins3886 Yes, I agree, winter is so beautiful and I love the cold. When most people are shivering all bundled up, I'm walking around in just a sleeveless dress, scarf, and flats with the biggest smile on my face, breathing in the air and enjoying the feeling. I do feel bad for the people who are shivering and cold, I wish I could warm them all up so they aren't so cold.
Wonderful. Perfectly done! 👍 I'll be back in Lapland with my girlfriend in February. But in Finnish Lapland. Swedish Lapland is definitely on our list as well. Best regards, Berni
Thanks for your kind words. We'll be back this year for sure too.
