The Crowley Columns | Visiting the Eastern Sierras
Depending on your vehicle capabilities (or driving skills), you may either park at the initial staging area and hike the rest of the way (or bike) or with a dedicated 4WD vehicle, drive all the way to the edge before hiking and descending down to the beach. The time we visited, the water was high so we couldn't do any exploring into the columns. Happy exploring!

Tacoma going through Devil's Pocket on Elephant Hill Trail | Canyonlands NP
Переглядів 5416 годин тому
I would not have felt comfortable going through this section myself. From the spotter's view, it may look like plenty of space for the Tacoma. However, from the driver's seat view, it looks a whole lot different. Consider following me on IG @the.real.dadaking for more up to date content
Chevy C10 Interior Light Door Switch Fix
Переглядів 1214 днів тому
Disclaimer: I am not a mechanic. I do this for fun. In the past, I have installed the Amazon light kit linked below. Everything had been working flawless for years. Suddenly, the lights stop working. After doing a little troubleshooting off camera, I came to the conclusion that the switches were original to the truck. In this video, I try to replace the dysfunctional interior light door switch....

This is a video of me troubleshooting a no start after having the truck parked for a couple of months. This could be due to anything! Luckily these old trucks are easier to work on, comparatively. Consider following me on IG @ the.real.dadaking for more up to date content.

Neither. I'll stay in Washington. 😅
Washington is pretty! 😍
They’re both liberal shitholes
Crescent city and N. On hwy1 is the prettiest road I have ever been on. 99 N. Into Oregon gets boring fast. I went to Antacortis,Wa. this way and got so sick of. The same trees, Mile after mile. I like 58 E. Outta Bakersfield straight over Tehachipi and into the desert. Guess I am a desert rat at heart. If I ever left Ca. It would be for Beaver, Utah.
CA for sure 😂
😁😆
Anywhere but commy needle doodoo hobo kindom cali.
I wouldn't go to dictator Traitor California if my life depended on it
Thanks dude I’m gonna look into it today
Oregon for sure!
😍
So stupid
Have you ever stayed at the valley of the rouge state park?
I have not. I always drive by it. Maybe one day I'll check it out. Have you?
@dadaking yeah I have but I recommend not going towards the back end because it seems like more residence spaces lol but if you go towards the front near the river it's nice
Oregon all day for sure love the green 👌
Same 😁
They both suck! 😂 Wokeville!
Great video! Question for you ... have you tried using this mod with a power station? If yes, does it work ... and what does it charge at? I'm considering picking one of these kits up for my 3rd Gen Taco ... but I've seen mixed reports about power stations not wanting to charge through the 400 watt inverter. Thanks!
I sure have! I use a Jackery 1000. So it goes outlet>Jackery>fridge. I use the Jackery as a power reservoir and the fridge is running all the time. It charges the Jackery at 140 watts or so and has no problems. Cheers!
Did this many, many years ago in an OE Datsun 4x4. That truck was pretty narrow compared to a modern Taco. I remember having to fold my mirrors all the way in to make it through the slot. I didn’t quite have the clearance to make it up Elephant Hill, so I crossed my fingers gunned it, dropped the clutch (can’t remember if it was into second or third). Bump. Crash. Bang! Somehow made it out unscathed! Hahaha. Life was good when I was young & stupid!
Those are the best memories! I think with any truck/SUV taken up here, armor is a must. Someone will bump something.
Imagine being a person who would think that it wouldn't work.
I use something called a "magic wand".
For actual men who dont use toys, a sander without paper works better
About to go try this rn
Thank you
How insecure are you dude? It's just a massager.
@@XsaviXanderat least |----| that insecure. 🤏
Woo hoo🎉🎉 Looks absolutely fun!
So when you put it back on, do you have to go through the process of lining everything up again or did you mark on your truck where the center part goes?
Exactly. I just use a marker to outline where the center piece goes.
Ok. The panels don’t need to be adjusted since it’s already set from the original install correct? I’m on the fence between Diamond back with a cargo slide system vs Decked.
@@fox40rc as long as you set the center piece right, the 2 panels fall right into place

This is the same exact tool in the video. Cheers! amzn.to/4caKKJE
Good stuff!
Thanks!
Yea front seat no seat belt. Anything happens ya won't have a kid. Kinda post birth abortion. Good job
This is dumb
Take them racing!! Dirt track racing!! Winged sprint car racing!!!
But your kids will remember the shame of having a dad who used that shitty synthetic voice over years after everyone grew to hate it. (they love you even if you do sound like Urkel)
I got myself a Suzuki Grand Vitara to do just this.😊
And even though I was only 8…I do remember my dads 1979 bronco with a 460 and 4speed through 4:11 gears with a small lift and 33s, that was painted candy brandywine red with the white side panel and canopy and that it didn’t even get 10mpg 😂😂😂
Uhhmmm, i however remember being dragged along for offroading and enjoying none of it, depends on the kid
Quality time with your kids in a mutual interest is the best! The only thing worse than dragging them along on something they hate is forcing them to do something they hate so you can live vicariously through them, eg cheerleading or football.
so did your oil consumption stop after Muzzler was installed?
It didn't stop but significantly decreased. Check out the pinned post for an update on oil consumption.
Love it! ❤
I have an oil consumption update here ua-cam.com/video/Dymoy3F4rlc/v-deo.html
I have a question. Did your oil consumption go down with the muzzler or did you Honda continue to run low on oil?
I actually have a video going over this. Check out the pinned comment
So glad I saw this before purchasing
Great video and thanks for taking the time! Have you done your vents yet? Thanks!
You're welcome. I haven't done the vents yet. They will probably be next. Not looking forward to it.
Did you get new ubolts with the springs?
No, the springs don't come with ubolts. In the video, I'm using a ubolt flip kit bought separately.
One more quick question do you think the stock toyota leaf spring bushings would fit into the Dobisons?
@@philipbgriffin I hear that they're a PITA to remove. I don't see why they couldn't be put on the Dobbies, however.
Are they metal clips?
Yes, if I remember correctly, they are metal
Ok so now how do you install without cutting the head?
If you didn't have to shave the bolt head, it would go in the same way it came out.
THANK YOU! Saved the day!
🤙🏽
God, I love UA-cam shorts. Chain slipped and needed a new one. Never changed one before and this was the exact video I needed. Thanks Bud.
You're most welcome
Good tutorial! I remember the days of using Monkey Grip on my bicycle tires!!
Super helpful video! I didn’t see in your video but I heard there is a creek you have to cross. Did you see that?
If I remember correctly, the creek crossing is at the 1:36 mark which can be highly variable based on tide and incoming freshwater.
Nice job
Thank you
Good job.🙏
Thank you Harjit
I did a little to much of a big hole on the firewall rubber thingy should I be worried ?
No. I wouldn't worry about it
Somebody must’ve change your universals. Factory they have zerk fittings on the front and rear drive shaft universals.
Yeah, noticed the spine attachment is no longer part of the standard inReach Mini 2. It was there for the original inReach Mini.
Never knew that. Thank you for the clarification
Happy birthday! Mine was yesterday!
Happy birthday to you! @oldmanoldtruck
Doing oil on new rav4, dealers play s games with the free oil changes, overfills oil, not sure of the weight of oil they put in or change filter. Someone mentioned dealer might change filter every other oil change.
