The 'ropey' walk has to be the highlight of this trip!...(for me, anyway)

I just watched a film with Robert Redford and Nick Nolte called "A Walk in the Woods." It had some very good cinematic shots of the Smoky Mountains.

I'm terrified of heights. You would never get me on that f***ing thing. I'm embarrassed by it at times, but it is a real thing.

Somehow this video popped up in my suggested videos to watch. I am from Crossville, TN and I retired as a law enforcement Captain from the State of Tennessee... I live in Florida now. The first building(s) you showed were owned by a grouchy, oddball man with the last name "Webb"...Everyone called him "Cobb" as a first name, but I am sure that was a nickname. He sold junk, old electrical parts, and just everything he could turn a dime on...Just up the road to the left was what used to be the "Starlite Theater", which was a drive-in theater for decades. They played normal movies during the regular times and pornos late at night....Cobb Webb owned that as well, and when it closed, he made a bar out of it called "The Starlite Club"....A rough bar that was open until about 3AM on weekends. I ended up buying an old pinball machine from Cobb out of the Starlight Theater lounge room...I paid $50 for it....Probably 1984 or so? The second house was owned by a family named "Dykes"....They owned a scrap yard adjacent to that house. My wife's mother was good friends with the family. My wife has been in that house. The third building was a THP headquarters until the early 1980's...When the THP moved to Cookeville as their headquarters, this building was used by another state agency called "Employment Services" which was where everyone applied for jobs and unemployment...After that it was occupied sporadically. Without looking it up, I am not even sure who owns it now. The next building looks extremely familiar from the front, but you gave no point of reference on the road to identify it by other structures and road. If I had more road footage in front of it, I could probably give you the story on it too.

Never been to a taco john, the closest tj to me is Waukesha i think. In all fairness it has been over 30 years since i been to a taco bell, didn't like them. every chance my brother gets, he goes to tacobell and when i moved out from living with him i never been in a taco bell since. i like food you can chew even though i have very few teeth left, i hate eating baby food consistency food, i need something solid.

The guy on the elevator story completely incorrect according to the court case. He was working on the top and accidentally fell into the top. The elevator moved with him trapped on top crushing him to death

If you ever get in the Kettle Moraine area in Sheboygan County, there is an old DNR firetower called the Parnell Tower in Parnell. You were close to it when you were in Dundee.

thanks for the food review. I agree places are getting expensive to eat out at. We use to eat out all the time but rarely do now. we are having ribs today but at home. what i paid for them was less than what 1 meal out would have cost and we can get a few meals out of this . We can buy a 10 pound tube of hamburger and make half pound burgers at home and fries and have 20 meals or we can eat out and buy what, maybe 2 meals of small burgers and fries at a fast food place for the same price. nope, we can make them how we want and add our own fresh toppings. next week i should be able to buy onions in a 50# bag straight from the farm. last 2 years it cost me $15 for the 50 pound bag but for many years before that it was only $10. thanks again for the food review.
