I’m pretty sure the soldiers directly under Sentinel’s command were all mindless drones without a spark, built in mass-production similar to what could be done in G1. It appears that way from the extremely mechanical way they speak, move, and react. It bothered me for a bit after seeing the movie for the first time that the heroes never had a moment to reflect any time they took a life until I realized the movie would probably have been PG-13 if they were literally cutting sentient people clean in half on-screen. (“GIVE ME YOUR FACE!!!!”) Also, it would serve a practical purpose for Sentinel, since all of his direct subordinates aside from Airachnid would never have the ability to question an unscrupulous order.

WFC is the only one where i feel like the canon isnt a complete nuisance

Nightbird’s new design and personality was so cool that I’m REALLY hoping she gets rebuilt in her G1 form as an experiment by Dr. Fujiyama to understand Cybertronian physiology, then we learn exactly why the Terrorcons were working for Unicron since it DEFINITELY didn’t seem like they served him out of admiration. My headcanon says that Battletrap was a petty criminal like he was in an earlier continuity who just liked to get into trouble and brawls for the fun of it, whereas Nightbird was a bounty hunter who took it upon herself to reel him in so he wouldn’t cause too much chaos. This continued after an unfortunate encounter with Scourge and Unicron-which is also why Nightbird’s face is now so twisted, literally mutilated and she couldn’t get it to heal properly-and she still feels an instinctual need to keep him in line in a fond way. During her imprisonment as a human-made robot with her brain and memory intact, she relearns compassion-and is given a Hello Kitty plushy by Dr. Fujiyama’s daughter as a nod to her original concept art-but feels tempted to join the Decepticons who are now arriving on Earth because she feels like she’s past redemption. And she just really, REALLY hates the Autobots for what they did to her and gets PTSD attacks every time she encounters Bumblebee, reliving her death in her mind. I don’t expect the filmmakers to go that deep into her character since this version of her was conceived as a disposable baddie from the start, but after the lukewarm reception of Rise of the Beasts, they need some payoff to make the ridiculously high stakes of the plot mean something. After just recently learning about Nightbird’s origins, I REALLY want such a cool yet unknown character to get more of a spotlight. They can’t always rely on Optimus and Bumblebee for ticket sales-especially when they’re as unrelatably psychotic as they’ve been for the last decade-and-a-half. Nightbird origin story for a true Bumblebee 2, writing RotB and racist Optimus out of continuity! Who’s with me!? 🎉

If grimlock in fall of cybertron got his own clip like prime megatron I’d say a good one to give him is the clip of “No one control grimlock!”

Oh god... I'm so glad someone finally made this. Yeah Sentinel was an evil bastard. And let's be honest, he did deserve his brutal death for betraying his kind and condemning them to a slow death under his rule and selling away their very source of living and crippling them... But Megatron had no moral high ground to do the deed. That's why Orion tried stopping him. Megatron was never gonna stop at killing Sentinel. Even when he accidentally shot his own brothers in arm... he doesn't take this moment to realise what his quest for vengeance was gonna bring to others... he just drops Orion to his death. And then after he rips Sentinel in two... he proved Orion'a worst fears true. He didn't stop at killing Sentinel. He opened fire at Iacon City itself to destroy everything Sentinel built, which is near the entire city, he couldn't care any less that the people who suffered the same as him are going to die in the crossfire, he even tries to kill Elita and B for being "followers of Sentinel" even though he knows they too were wanting to stop Sentinel's reign as well but disagreed with his methods. Which is what made him sentence them to death. It is understandable why D-16 became Megatron, it is tragic, but to be Megatron, is to be a raving lunatic who will burn entire worlds down for his own desires. He killed Sentinel, and now became exactly like him. Optimus truly was in the right at the end. And in general having to staunchly defend such guys kinda miss the point of these scenarios are really the best showcases of "If You Kill Him, You Will Be Just Like Him", as we do see it happen, and tragically they are true. Guys like Megatron or to give off another example, Magneto, killed villains who brought misery to their lives, Sentinel and Sebastian Shaw deserved it, but neither Megatron nor Magneto had the mental fortitude to stop with just that.

History teaches us that when mass riots, violent protests, or anything of that nature occur, the bottom rung of society are the ones that are hit the hardest. If Megatron had been allowed to rampage as he saw fit the lowerest castes of Cybertron society would most certainly be the most affected. Ironically, the biggest losers in such a scenario are the people Megatron is trying to liberate.

I honestly think that the people claiming Megatron was 100% in the right is missing the entire nuance of both his and Optimus’s story. In the real world, advocating for social change is much more complex. Neither of them are in the wrong, but it’s how they react to their oppression that matters. Not to mention that Orion is mainly the one who has the initiative to push for actual change. He focuses on the bigger picture while Megatron is consumed by revenge that ended up costing him everything in the end. Plus…MEGATRON WAS ABOUT TO KILL MILLIONS OF PEOPLE AFTER SHANKING SENTINEL. Villains are villains for a reason aksksks. 😭

One of my favorite Decepicons is Barricade…and I COULD NOT tell you why…but I THINK it’s because of his scenes in the first Transformers movie, his interrogation of Sam and his quick transformation when he starts chasing him just stick with me and he’s got a really cool design…despite being a minor character, he’s one of my favorites
