Noah's first time using a scythe.
Переглядів 2577 років тому
We received our new scythe today and set it up. It only took a few minutes to somewhat get the hang of it. We are not proficient yet but it does not seem nearly as hard as people made it out to be. We are loving it.

I ziptied terry cloth around the drive gear to reduce the noise.

There is another video of how i built it. I will use a plastic barrel when i remake the trommel part. I will back it with fender washers and bolts instead of plywood and screws.

Clever use of the turnbuckles and D rings for attachment.

I did mine a little differently, my mixer is metal so welded four bars and wrapped them with two layers of 1/4" hardware cloth. Adjust the angle of the mixer and it even removes the quack grass and does a great job. Brownie points with my wife. Grow on my friend.

from another video kaldrostream is a fake site to steal your data. Do not google kaldrostream and do not enter any data there. In the settings of your UA-cam channel, add the word kaldrostream to the blacklist, and block users who write such comments!

Great video. I too have clay...everywhere...but not my garden. It took me 3 years, lots of mulch, (red wrigglers were nearly the first to move in) leaves and horse manure...but I’ve finally got nice soft dark soil! I wish mine had only taken a year!

My garden soil had been amended with TONS (literally) of composted wood chips. It is black and rich with microbial life. It grows veggies like crazy. Wish I knew how to post a pic of it.

if you stood a piece of plywood up between barrows, that just cleared trommel barrel it would be better
